BeastBuzz 2005 itinerary

News: Delirium is down mechanical and will be for at least another week :(
I'm above the height limit anyways. Maybe I will ride Max-air sometime.

Down is the new up.

I assume the awards ceremony is for the winner of the scavenger hunt? If not, what is it?

And bummer about delirium, that ride is a blast.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

^^Yeah I was wondering about that when I saw it's condition last Wednesday. I figured that it would probably be "off" of the ERT.

Well I haven't heard anything officially, so we'll deal with it when the day comes.

And I seem to recall the scavenger hunt winners getting season passes for the next year in the 2004 event. Am I remembering that right?

I believe that's what the grand prize was for the past few hunt's I've participated in. That and a medal.

Sounds good to me! 5 days to go, whoo-hoo!

SOB's biggest fanboy!
Wish I could go like last year, since I a had a great time at PKI (as always), but I will be en route to Beijing, China. Maybe next year.

Have fun people!

Hmm, sounds like a fun day. Maybe I will try to go and register on-site.

Down is the new up.
Update:

I am told my PKI ride mechanics and Delirium crew that the ride will be fixed in JULY. it's suffered a major mechanical problem, and must be fixed by HUSS.

What problem I wonder? It must be big if HUSS is being called in. I am praying to god this same problem whatever it is doesnt happen to maXair.
Okay I am going for my first time and have pre-registered. How early should I be showing up, 7:30am?

Dang it. I didn't know my Gift of Sight Schedule was going to have an opening on Saturday :( We're going to KI this Friday and will miss Beast Buzz because the Suits at corporate make our schedules 6 months ahead of time and we had a cancellation on Saturday. I also been putting off getting my Coasterbuzz membership because I really didn't figure I would get to go anywhere to ride coasters this season, because of my Gift Of Sight schedules. Grrr....I'm upset.

My Beautiful wife, Julia, is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

Remember Delirium is three years old. Delirium crew seems to think it's the main drive motor gone out.

Proof they have no idea what they're talking about, since there are six drive motors.

I couldn't help but notice the new bright orange fence that was put up to keep back the drooling enthusiasts from the Beast's first drop and first turn. It's a neat few still from those pathways.

Due to scheduling conflicts I'm missing my first BeastBuzz :(

Just curious, how many on-site registrations will you allow? We (3 of us) plan on arriving early to see if we can get in. Hope to make it this year. Had to miss the last one.
OK, I found out today that the ride is down for several week. One of the main gears went out, and HUSS has to make a new one and sent it to the park, then the ride has to be partially dismantled to install the new one. At worst it could be down until August.

This comes straight from PKI Steel Coaster Maintenance which is in charge of the large flats as well.

I talked to our hosts yesterday, and we'll be doing extra laps on the other rides.
