Beast Unsafe?

"Ok raven, heres a few things you should remember.
1)back in 1979 the general height was smaller than it is today. With people getting taller, the tunnel will start smaking hands.
2)The policy about putting your hands up is "at your own risk", meaning if you put them up and your arm gets broken, then its your fault. The parks do the signs so they wont get sued for neglegence (sp?)

Keep these in mind next time you want to make a point

Ok, i think you think you are disagreeing with me here, but we are really agreeing. Thanks for making some points for me.

1. I really doubt that about the general height of the public. Are you telling me that from 1979 to 2001 the human race in general has actually grown taller? Like i said, i kinda doubt that.

2. I understand why the signs are there. its the other people that don't understand why the signs were there. What bothers me is that some people in this thread are claiming that people are stupid for holding their hands up on coasters, when much of the GP does it. Give me a break. Its common practice, just like others have said.

I put my hands up on rides, if it looks like I'm about to loose something I bring it in. You see, I hop on rides and go "yay" and throw my hands up, it doesn't have anything to do with reading signs and being dangerous. Many rides are designed to be safe with hands up, and maybe people think it's not to be dangerous on other rides, it's not nice to say it's somebody's fault for smacking thier hands(everybody is dumber than yourself, right:)?), maybe if that's the case then ride designers shouldn't make rides were it's safe to keep your hands up.
Jeez, would somebody please put this thread out of its misery?
If anbybody would like to continue this debate, instant message me at ravenguy98 on AIM. We will have a nice ole flame war if you want. It just seems as though its getting kinda complicated here on coasterbuzz.

Actually, you are wrong. Back in the 70`s the average height was a couple of inches smaller than it is today. This could make all the difference. And I started disagreeing, then my though process just broke apart.
Oh and i would Instant message you if you were available

To people that think that I am complaining about it, I am not! Like I've said before, I just find it weird that my friend and I both hit our hands on the tunnel. I am not holding the park responsible or anything like that, I know it was my fault, I just wanted to know if anybody else found this weird or if it has happened to anybody else. If anybody would want to IM me about this or anything else you can at prtyboy077. *** This post was edited by matt1080 on 6/11/2001. ***

And i still don't believe the thing about average height. Show me the study, or proof, or something and i will believe you, but I'm not just going to take your word for it.
