Two trains collided at 5mph on the Beast at Paramount's Kings Island, after slick skid brakes failed to completely stop the train. Several riders were treated and released for minor cuts and bruises.
Read the report from AP via WKYC.

"Trains collide on Beast, sending riders to hospital!"
They probably won't say it was going 5 miles per hour, and that it wouldn't say that the riders were only treated for minor cuts and bruises.

1. Dispatch to the top of lift one
2. Top of lift one to 1/3 up lift 2
3. 1/3 up lift 2 to the top of lift 2
4. Top of lift 2 to the end of break #3
5. end of break #3 to 2/3 in station
6. Break #4 to side Track
so 2 trains in the break run higly possible and as a former Beast driver i speak from expierience when i say a little scary but i would have to say that If it was a little rainy out i can see how the trains could slide past its final position on Break #3
ALL CLEAR
More speculation, of course. :)

Gimme a break Why Me.. everyone here enjoys the insight that Dave (Rideman) gives us. I for one seem to learn something every time he is kind enough to post anything on this site. WHO CARES if he's not 100% right about everything. His speculation rivals anyone else who would give you the time of day to figure out WHAT might have exactly happened. Thank you Dave for giving us/me your ideas. I consider them well founded. Thank you Jeff for allowing me and others the access to this information FREE of charge. Sheesh, things people will find a way to complain about.
And by the way, outside of speaking to the press, I've never met any engineer or maintenance worker/technician that subscribes to this secret society/ninja code thing you speak of.

First, anything that involves propritary information about my companys business or the business of other companies that I deal with. This includes safety information, business information, and chemical process information.
Second, anything that is my opinion that might be construed or misconstrued to be the opinion or position of either my company or an engineering standards organization. This would include accidents that I don't have any special information about.
Third, if I am involved in a safety investigation or have non-public information about a safety investigation, then my opinion will not be expressed outside a small number of people until the final report is issued. (This avoids the kind of stupidity that occurred with the Los Angles coroners office this summer when someone who didn't know what they were talking about said that an amusement ride caused a death which was actually due to natural causes.)
This is not some secret society/ninja code. It's just keeping you mouth shut when you should to avoid hurting yourself, your employer, or others. This is true in various form wether you work in amusement parks, manufacturing, insurance, or the local burger joint.
