Battle of the fourth B&M.

Crash, while jr Gemini is indeed Intamin, the orginial Gemini is Arrow buddy a tried and true creation of the great Ron Toomer

unless...now looking back at it, you might have thrown that comma in there by accident...if so my bad :)

Bill, agreed with you on Fire and Ice. How dare anyone assume they are one, when indeed they are two radically different, yummy, rides.... Now, let's not get C:TR confused with M:TR;)

God, I can't wait for those shirts, Chris!

I won't consider S:UF to be an invert, it's not an invert, it's a flyer. We already have 3 inverts, which, if I'm not mistaken, is more than any other park in the world. Personally, I wouldn't want to show off "The park with THE most B&M coasters!"

I am not always fully up to date with some American parks but don't PKI have four. Top Gun, Scooby Doo, Face Off and Runaway Reptar. and they did have the Bat at one time.

...well, SDGC (Ghoster Coaster) I guess *could* count as an invert, but I always thought of it as a suspended. Sure, your feet can *dangle*, as opposed to Top Gun, a *true suspended*....

thanks to those who chimed in with "The Princess Bride", what a great movie for kids and "big kids" alike, huh....

Lastly, I was wondering once the "first" park completes its Beemer, will the other park just give up in disgust...."oh man, they got theirs done first, we might as well quit and go home"...;) First, in this case, is TOTALLY meaningless outside the context of "our *mutual* obsession"....

Whoops ! Yeah, I did forget about Deja Vu. Probably since I've only gotten 2 rides on it ;)

As for S:UF being an invert or not, well, yeah, it's a little different, but it's still inverted in the sense that it's below the track, and is a lot closer to an invert than a traditional or suspended coaster. It's just the evolution of the invert, just like a floorless is the evolution of a sit-down. Let's not forget the loading position too - definitely an invert in that case.

Do have a "random punctuation" button on your browser? There are *'s everywhere in that post. I was purely thinking below the track rides as in reallity there are four ways to ride a coaster; above the track, below the track, in some cases both of the above and to the side of the track.

EDIT: Spelling Mistake

That's not really a fair summary. I mean you never know when they're going to come up with a ride that rides on the sides and the top and bottom or between the rails (like Ultra twister or the pipelines) or even inside the rails. The four categories you list seem like pigeon holing.

Now, THAT could *quite possibly* be the single "funniest" question EVER asked of me....ROFL. Thanks! I rarely quote myself (not *that* quote-able), but as I said in another thread, it's those VOICES that tell me *where* to put the punctuation. So I *guess* it's not ENTIRELY random. It's all about appropriate *emphasis*, or so I'm told...;)

This raises an interesting question. Which park has the most of each designer's coasters. We know that SFGAm and SFGrAdv will tie for most B&Ms, but who has the most Intamins? the most Arrows? the most Vekomas? the most Schwartzkopf?

I would guess CP would claim either the Intamin (mentioned above) or Arrow (Iron Dragon, Gemini, Magnum, Corkscrew, Cedar Creek Mine Ride) I'm talking only coasters (otherwise we'd have to throw in water rides and drop rides)

I bet SF Belgium is contending for most Vekomas. :-)

I think that sfaw has the most Schwartzkopf's. But I'm no one to ask on that subject. Why don't you check rcdb?

Edit: Now that I think about it nevermind. Texas tornado is gone.

Sorry got all confused, there were four and then X came along and added the fifth. I knew I would for get one. The five way to ride a coaster are:-

1: On top

2: Underneath

3: In between

4: On top and underneath

5: or to the side

...of the track that is! Things like stand-up and lying down I count as a seating position. For a park to have the widest possible range of coasters it needs to vary its choices of the above five. There is little point in repeating the methods unless the rides are different. Which is why I find the announcement of Scream wierd because it is fairly similar to Riddler's from what I hear but you ride in different seats and are therfore in different positions. Just a random thought.
