Battle of the fourth B&M.

Which park will have their 4th B&M done first?

My thought is with SFGAM.

honestly, who really cares?

i know i don't. both parks will have 4 B&M's come next year.

I kinda care....... looking at it now, unfortunately seems like it won't be SFGAm :(

SFGAd opens before SFGAm does by at least a month, so look for SFGAd to claim "four B&M's in one park" first. As if that matters or anything. :)

Don't both parks open to the public on May 4th? If that is the case then they would both be opening on the same exact day so it would be a tie and it does not matter... not that it is a big deal anyways.

2. I would classify it as a tie. enthusiasts down the road aren't going to remember the exact dates, just the year.

IT really doesn't matter. We all know that SF will claim they are both First in local Advertising. One will be the only park with 4 B&M's in the northeast and the other in the midwest.

Intamin wise:

Cedar Point has Disaster Transport, Jr, Gemini, Millenium Force, Wicked Twister and the 2003 coaster.

I just thought I would add this

Hey kRaX, can we push IoA up a bit on the list...there ARE three Beemers there, even if two of 'em are tied up in knots "having fun storming the castle"...;). Fire and Ice ARE totally different rides, after all....

...just when you guys thought I didn't have ANY of "that old home-park pride", ROFL. And as I bonus, I get to throw in a movie reference...

also noting that we all simply ASSUME the rides will be ready at park opening.....Walter and Claude, baby!

So far SFGAdv opening date for 2003 season is March,29,2003.

Okay thanks, I must have got confused on the website looking at all the to be determined days. Yeah you are right. But as they said before, all that people will remember is the year when they come out.

Will they really bother 'claiming 4 B&Ms'? i mean, its impressive and all, but its not exactly something that the GP would care about or even be able to relate to. In fact, only the die hard enthusiast would care, so what's the point.

coasterrod, do you *really* think 4 B&M's will actually be advertised? do you *really* think that the GP knows who B&M are much less give a hoot about how many are in one park? SF may push both as "one of a kinds", but I have never heard a designer's name in an ad nor do I ever expect to.

Totally agree with you, of course they wouldn't claim 4 Beemer's for advertisement purposes. It was just a weird way of wording that they will be the first to open with four.

I could see it now, SFGAd says "the first XTREME park to open with four B&M coasters!" The GP would be like, "B and what?" ;) So yeah, not really the best marketing tool, but a fact nonetheless.

SFGAm will also have 3 inverted coasters now. Superman, Batman & V2. That would be more marketable than 4 B&Ms, though I doubt they'd use wither fact as marketning.

Did you forget about Deja Vu Joe Carroll? That makes it 4 inverted coasters. As far as 4 B&M's go, both SFGAdv and SFGAm will be tied since they will both open in the same year.
