Autospiels

actually, I like the Batman score. I think it was a very well done piece of music that really brought the film to life. yes, Arrow Guy, the artist that you described does fall into that category.

Do any of you know how to build a sundial out of a pen and a donut?
uh oh, sounds like someone has a case of the mondays.

Speaking of SFGAm...

I really wish they'd get rid of the spiel on Viper. It's soooooo annoying.

Thank you for challenging the viper at six flags great america to exit push down then pull up on your lapbar. For those in line waiting to challenge the viper step behind the yellow saftey line as the gates infront of you will be closing.

Can anyone make a CUSTOM one for me?

-----------------
Who can go a whole day at MiA riding Timbers ONCE? Repeat after me: "I hate parent chaperones"

Sure. What do you want it to say?

-----------------
"I own you!"
"SUCKA!!!!!!!"
-quotes I have been known to exclaim on coasters.

The Volcano spiel, LOL! It's horrible, yuk!
You actually have to listen to the man/woman, & it's after they've said the complete word that you can tell what they were saying. Sounds Jamaican, though I guess it's supposed to be an African one;).
"Prrrrrmitted, luse art-it-culls", the whole deal, they need to kill it........

The best autospiel ever, JMHO is on Top Gun @PC, at the end of the ride before going back into the station, they tell you to take your seatbelts off & be ready to get off the thing when she stops.

I absolutley HATE the auto-speil on Top Gun: TJC. "Prepare For take-off" then when the rides of, "please relase your seatbelts", congratulation, mission completed" or something like that.

800,000 years in 7 seconds: Time Machine the movie or next S&S creation?
"So Quoth the Lemon Chill Guy" (TM) (C)

I am always surprised by the way the lady's voice says 'Deja Vu' on the autospiel at SFGAm...I'm not sure if it's the same with other Deja Vus or not. Anyways, she says 'DAY-juh vu'...with the emphasis on the DAY part. Also, when the ride is over, the spiel says to 'push down, then pull up on your harness.' Now, I can see how this would work for a lap bar. But when you're under an OTSR, to me it's more like pulling down on the restraint and then pushing it up (reverse order).

And as others have mentioned, the Viper (and Eagle) spiels get annoying as well (someone can take that yellow safety line and ... I dunno... step behind it?? ). Oh, and I almost forgot about how the Batman station has those computer animations of a coaster...but it's Batman the Dark Knight at SFNE. Although I'm sure the GP doesn't even realize that it's not even the same type of coaster... oh well.

While we're on the subject of autospiels, I want to say that my favorite is the one they have at Dueling Dragons where you chose your train with the wizard's voice saying "From this point of no return, your only choice is freeze or burn."
I love the B:TR station sound! At SFMM the first time I rode, they had the Batman theme playing loudly, a great song. Then the next year it was Alfred and I couldn't understand one word! From a friend at SFGaM: Batman's station music speil is, The main theme, Batcave and Trust by Prince.

I think I purposely can't remember most of Raptor's autospiel. I know it starts "Welcome to the Raptor (I HATE "the") You will be taken up 137' above sea level (as opposed to what?) and dropped 119'. I believe the middle says something about securing all loose articles and going over 55mph. The end says "thank you and enjoy your ride on the Raptor" You want to talk annoying? Try Saturday night queue clean up and hearing that over and over again!
At times I wish we had the autospiel on the platform too but wouldn't give up doing the spiels for anything! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and still looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)

Interesting, considering that 137' above sea level at Lake Erie is, I believe, a few feet under ground.

My "favorite" spiel is "Please remain seated" on Iron Wolf

-----------------
Have you ever seen the Demon?
Have you ever heard him scream.............

Oncoming riders, once you are seated buckle your orange safety belt and pull back on your lapbar. We are gonna take you up 205 feet and drop you down 194 at a 60 degree angle where you will reach speeds of 72 MPH. Keep your arms, hands, and legs inside the train at all times and remeber Cedar Point is not responsible for lost or damaged items. So sit upright, hold on tight and enjoy your ride on Magnum-XL200. We'll see you back here in 2 minutes 30 seconds. Ready Ready Clear (or before this year bang bang - bang bang)

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers.

Yeah, I love the "please remain seated" on Iron Wolf. That's on the lift hill, not the station, right?

Well, since you went there first and I haven't cleared it out of my head after a year, here is the spiel I usually used:

"Oncoming riders, welcome to the Magnum XL-200. Please board the train quickly and carefully, one person per seat. Once you're seated please find and secure those orange safety belts (knock) and pull down, push up on those black lapbars to make sure they're secure. At this time please secure all loose articles - Cedar point can not and will not be responsible for anything lost or damaged while riding the Magnum. During your ride, please remain seated with your hands, arms, legs, and feet down and inside the train at all times. We're going to take you up 205 (ready), drop you back down 194, 60 degree angle, speeds reaching 72 miles per hour on a one mile track to the lake and back that takes two and a half minutes to complete so sit upright, hold on tight, enjoy your ride aboard the number one rated steel roller coaster in the world (knock knock) CLEAR! - the Magnum XL-200!"

Joe, for a custom one, just make it so it starts out "Welcome riders. Once you are seated, please pull down your lap bar, and fasten your seatbelt. -----Pause----- You're clear to go. -----LittleLongerPause----- Welcome back riders, how was your ride? Please exit to the right of the vehicle, and enjoy the rest of your day."

What? You NEVER pull down on your lapbar before fastening your seatbelt! And, you might want to say "exit to the right of the train." It's just a little more universaly used, if you ask me...but you weren't, so I'll just keep my mouth shut :)
