MetroJim, I'm curious...you say you are disappointed but you never really say why. Ruined? I think that's a little strong. There are some things that need to be fixed but it's far from hopeless or ruined. Other than the tunnels, everything is pretty much there, and more. The detail on it is truely amazing. And it will only get better as time goes on.

Kind of scratching my head. What more do people want?

^^ Coasterbuf: I think you hit a salient point. What more do people want?

This is a demo version. Many of the things you guys have said isn't there isn't there because it's a demo version. One example of this is someone mentioned the lack of height marks. That option isn't available in the demo version, but there was an option listed for it. Check some of the menus and you will find a lot of the things really are still there. Other things will probably ship with the game when it comes out, most notably monitoring the speed of a ride while testing.

But, anyways, back to the point of what more do you want. Almost every new feature that people have been screaming for in the rct board throughout the internet, even the lame ideas, are in this game. People wanted more flats: they are there. People wanted a night mode and wanted things to light up: it's there. People wanted different ages and genders of the guests: they got it. People wanted a stratocoaster: they got it. People wanted to ride their coasters: you got it. People wanted the game in 3D: now it is. People wanted sandbox mode: now they have it. Atari is delivering on all the silly little things that have littered people's inane wishlists for RCT for years and people are *****ing because the demo doesn't play like RCT2.

I had no problems with the demo at all except for a few graphical glitches such as people disappearing from the rides every once in awhile. Once I found where my normal favorite functions were in the game, or where they would be, I was fine with everything and enjoyed the demo and am looking forward to the game itself. For those worried that the game will be flawed at release, or it won't have your old favorite stuff because it wasn't in the demo, remember this: most demos are done with a seperate source stream from the game production code. They usually break off the demo source sometime after initial integration testing. Many of the issues you see in this demo may have already been resolved in the beta version as we speak. That's just my two cents.
