Arrow / Intamin tied for the most coasters @ CP.

Ummmm.... I'm glad that you took it upon yourself to decide exactly who it is I am and how much income I make. Not only are you lunch meat - you're completely clueless. The laughs on you buddy.

Doesn't really matter....

whiny kids = $$$

No whiny kids = nowhere near as many $$$

I could go on and on about how this would require being sufficiently attractive to the opposite sex for extended interaction, brushing your hair, picking the bugs out of your teeth, the crust from your nose blah blah blah but I won't do that.

Say, do you like pancakes?

costerfreaky: Take out a map of Cedar Point, and count all the coasters, thrill rides, and other named attractions. Guess what? You'll come up with barely half of the 70-odd rides CP claims to have. Know where they're hiding all the rest? In the two, count 'em, two kid sections of the park. I don't care what others say: The fact is, CP shines when it comes to kids. They have the parent swap policy, two areas chock-full of rides just for the under 54'' crowd, several kid-friendly flat rides, three carousels, and a not-too-shabby line up of coasters: Jr. Gemini, Woodstock's Express, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Disaster Transport, and even Corkscrew are all very nice for budding enthusiasts (I'd add Iron Dragon, but I'm not sure about the height). If you don't see a ton of strollers careening through the midway, it's only because all the little ones are off having fun in their own areas. Though I myself saw plenty when I went there.

SF) Great American - your point is valid, noted and appreciated. Perhaps it's because their (CP's) kids areas are geographically far from where I like to spend my time that I haven't noticed all the childrens- so that's a good thing. At PKI, for instance, has placed their kids areas smack dab in the middle of everything - and so they are much more visable. But I can't get over the fact that CP's major thrill rides are for adults and enthusiasts...and that's the reason me and my friends spend a lot of our huge disposable incomes and vacation time at CP.

In the middle? Nahhhh. International Street (Avenue?) is in the middle...HB is to the right of it. Steer towards the Action Zone and you miss the strollers altogether.

Since when did PKI cater to families and CP didn't? TR:TR is the sort of ride (and pre-show) that sends kids running for the exit--if the height restrictions aren't enough to bar their entry altogether. Just because PKI spent a very, very successful season adding family attractions doesn't mean they're overlooking anyone.

Your personal income doesn't matter as much as how many people you bring with you. One person still isn't going to drink 12 sodas, buy four souvenir cups, rent a $20 stroller or wagon or buy as many T-shirts and stupid trinkets as a family will. What matters to the parks is how much of it they're gonna get. A single individual can visit eight to ten parks and not spend as much cash as a family of four with an overnight stay at a single park. I should know.

Whoever said that, go **** your mother! I am a teenager myself and I don't need to hear that bull****, you ****ing dickface!

Why did you just bring up a lame thread from like 1487 and then almost guarantee yourself a Bansicle stick by your reply?

Because he's an idiot.

By the way thanks, DMatM, for single handedly providing validity to the two year old statement that you so passionately and ignorantly hate.

Teenagers are welcome at parks throughout the world. Teenagers with attitudes like yours are not.

Oh, the irony.

Thanks for getting yourself banned in such a deliciously ironic way. That's JUST the laugh I needed tonight :)

So Arrow and Intamin are tied for the most coasters at Cedar Point, aren't you aware of this?

Anyone notice how few Vekoma's at CF parks??

The only CF park with a "high" Vekoma count is Geauga Lake (Head Spin, Thunderhawk, and X-Flight). I have to say that as bad a rep these rides get, I was impressed with the three Geauga has. I wouldn't suggest that any park should go on a Vekoma shopping spree though, since there are better companies (Intamin, B&M, I would say GCI but I have yet to ride one of their coasters).

25 Parks..............
123 Coasters........
....and still going!

Imagine the Crystal Beach Cyclone with a Gerstlauer train

I might be out of line, but I think it might be due to the fact that Vekoma makes more or less all "cookie cutter" rides. I'm not looking to start clone wars, but I'm just pointing out that maybe CF wants something more original when building rides?

PS- Geauga lake also had all three Vekoma's before being bought by CF, so my theory still holds true. (Aside from the boomerang coasters)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
