God that Gonch is such a lame-o.
I'm not quite old enough either. Infact, I never met the 70s.
Abba is badass!
Phoenix is not a retirement community as most people think. There are a couple areas such as Sun City but in general, there are a lot of young families. We have some of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. including Gilbert and Chandler. I believe Gilbert was number 1 in growth last year. There is a large influx from California as we have very attractive housing prices. We have a large amount of high tech industries with high paying jobs including employers such as Intel.
Any park built here would have to have misters or enclosed queues for summer operation although we normally get more tourist at other times of the year. Water consumption doesn't have to be a problem if the proper plants are used. Also, artificial turf could be used in many areas. C&C uses artificial turf.
The heat is still dry in the summer and the humidity level doesn't appear to be climbing much unless your in the middle of Phoenix. There were quite a few days last summer with 4-8 percent humidity levels! You do not sweat in this kind of heat. It is normal for higher humidity levels in the mornings.
The Phoenix area is just going to continue growing for awhile. The only thing that could slow it down is the water supply. The water supply issue doesn't just affect Arizona but California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. Arizona has been banking it's water so we are not running into the shortages that Nevada and California have been having.
Thanks for supporting the idea of Arizona having a real Theme park. I think that it is well over due. I don't think that C&C will ever move or get bigger. I don't think that the owner has any intention of putting more money into the park then he has to. Also the only way they would ever make good money, is if they did move the park to a bigger location, cause there is no room for that park to grow. Well I think that it is about time that someone builds a park here despite the hot weather. There are ways around that. But no one really answered my first question, which would be better, vegas or arizona?
Yeah, My home town is ready for a big park. Which is why I'm not an analyist, a business tycoon, or very wealthy.
Only 873 days left until opening day!
Of course, no construction has been done and the company does business from a PO Box, but hey, take what you can get.
I suspect it'll open right around the time that huge indoor one does near the Pittsburgh Airport. ;)
