are you happy with what your homepark is gettin?

I was referring to 'World First' on the offical Paramount site.

I get it now, both are by Vekoma & Silver Streak is the world's first family Suspended like CP's Iron Dragon (i.e. swings from side to side) and RR the world's first family Inverted like any B&M Inverted or SLC (Doesn't swing, seats fixed to bogies). I wonder which one will be more fun to ride. Both!

That's pretty cool! The Top Scan looks like great fun too!

2) The Bush Beast - 1985 KEC Woodie (Clone of PKD's Grizzly)
3) Beastie - 1985 KEC Junior Woodie
4) More steel coasters please!!! Preferably a B&M Masterpiece *** This post was edited by CoasterGod on 3/6/2001. ***
Most definately! I'd take a junior coaster or even something as simple as Chaos in place of that whiplash loving thing formally know as Steel Phantom. The fact that they are making a better coaster out of the one already standing just sweetens the deal.

Thank you for riding America's Roller Coast
Yeah I know!! :) Silve streak looks very interesting, and that Top Scan.. Oh my...
can't be drinking before riding that!

Silver Streak and Runaway Reptar are the same coaster. PKI calls theirs inverted because they've already have a kiddie suspended, the Ghoster Coaster.

Well, technically Knott's is my homepark, so far I have heard rumors of EVERY TYPE OF COASTER might be comming late in 2001.

DCA was a nice addition too.

I guess I will have to "settle" for driving up to SFMM and riding the tallest inverted in the world, and the first ever install if a 4-D.

Southern California is THE PLACE to be in 2001! So yes, I am quite happy.

Come again? Oh yeah, Deja Vu beats Alpengeist by a mere foot!!!

Nothing. Camden Park has got nothing since 1988 and I don't see anything new coming soon. It seems like they are removing rides instead of adding them.
Heck yea! Great Adventure is my home park, and we are getting the largest coaster on the East Coast. Nitro is gonna be a blast!

Parks for 2000: CP, Great Escape, Great Adventure, SFA, Islands of Adventure, Kennywood
I consider myself lucky to live in Northern Ohio. Only in this state can one say that a park has ONLY 10 coasters. I live 10 minutes from SFWoA, but I live 10 minutes from CP during the summer.

Cedar Point, which doubles as my employer, is spending only $14 mil for a campground expansion, but I'm not disappointed. They spent $48 mil in 2000 for MF and the hotel. Plus, with SFMM having 15 operating coasters soon, 2002 looks to be a very good year, because of all the money they are not using this year.

As for my only other homepark, SFWoA, I'm sure that I'll love X-Flight, but I'm not to sure what to expect in terms of the old SWO. And although they got 4 coasters last year, I was disappointed with the rest of the park. Hopefully SF will do a good job revitalizing GL/SFO/SFWoA.

Hey, a foot is a foot. Even if it beat Alpengeist by only an inch, it would still be taller. Am I wrong in saying that SFMM's DV will be the tallest inverted in the world?

Actually since Alpie's drop is 170', DV will easily beat that. If the trains go all the way up to the top of the 196' tower, (which I think they will) the people in the front and the back would each get a ~195' drop, beating Alpie's drop by ~25'.

Just food for thought, not trying to start something.

I am happy when my home parks get anything new.

PKD - Very happy, especially since H:XLC is the
first installation of its kind.
(I will be able to tell exactly how
happy I am in 17 more days!)

BGW - Just regular happy. Ireland should be great,
but enough of the suspense with DF.
I am happy my home park of Silver Dollar City is getting a B&M:) With the addition of Buzzsaw Falls in '99 and Wildfire in '01 it looks like SDC is heading in a direction that I like:)
My homeparks are Lake Compounce, Canobie Lake, and SFNE. Nothing new will be added to any of those parks this year, and I guess one could say that SFNE is losing a coaster due to the Cyclone modifications, but we'll have to wait until opening day to decide whether Six Flags has murdered another woodie. As for next year, SFNE plans major expansion, and there's always Superman, so I guess I'm over it.

I live in Ohio and they always have the best new rides every year, so YES I am happy.
Hell no I'm not happy! My home parks are SFStL and Holiday World, and SFStL isn't getting jack crap! Although, I am totally satisfied with Holiday World, instead of just dumping money into new attractions, they are perfecting the ones they have, and improving the park's atmosphere. That's why it's my favorite park. :)

Hey Justin! My homepark is PCW too, and I would have to say that I'm disapointed with what we are getting! Silver Streak? NO THANKS!

I want a REAL coaster! NOT a kiddie one! Don't you agree that it's about time we got a major thrill coaster? (The last one we got was in 1994 with Top Gun!)
my homepark SFEG isn't getting anything this year. They haven't got anything since 1997. It sucks because I really wanted something new.
Well, SFEG and SFKK are pretty low on the SF totem pole. They beat Frontier City, but that's about it. There's just not much population/competition in the area. Sucks to have a home park that's been passed over for a couple years, I know (I'm in Houston).

And I'm excited about what my park is LOSING this year. Headrests on Texas Cyclone, into the trash!
My homepark is SFGAm and I am very satisfied with 2 new coasters!

Dorney is my home park and I am totally ecstatic about Talon! It is awesome! I am close to Nitro as well so I am very excited.
