Are you ever scared?

I used to get scared of the big rides, well, ones that broke barriers that I hadn't been past before, like, for instance, the first few times I went on Magnum quite some time ago, I was scared to death, but after that, it was just another (but amazing) coaster. Also, with drop rides I used to get all nervous, and with Giant Drop at SFGAm, due to the magnetic brakes system, which is the first time I'd ever been on anything with those brakes, I was kind of nervous. Another one is Millennium Force, the first time I had the nervous butterflies, not of fear of death ever, but what I could lose or something along those lines, maybe something I'd do was wrong and I'd suffer in some way because of it, but never a fear of actually death. Now days (well, MF was just a couple years ago, but a lot has changed) I still get butterflies, but they're not butterflies of fear at all in any way, but more of butterflies of anticipation, of being eager to get on this ride and see what it's like. I usually only get these early in the season at first visits to parks or when riding something totally new. Hopefully I get these for Deja Vu finally.

The only time I can remember being really scared was last year when I rode Desperado at Buffalo Bill's Casino. I wasn't scared going up the lift or anything but once that sucker gets going it feels like it is going to fall apart! You get thrown around like crazy and if it weren't for that extra seatbelt ...
