are cedar point coaster junkies spoiled?

As a Cedar Point fan myself (duh! :)) I do feel that I've been spoiled, but not in the same ways that everyone else is noticing. I'm never upset nor do I complain when there isn't a new coaster every 1-2 years, but the "spoiled" part comes from being used to having a park with so many coasters! I have no problem paying the $40 or so to get into CP with 14 great coasters. But when I look at going to another park, I cringe at paying $30 for just 3-5 coasters! Makes the admission price-to-coaster ration that much higher. In that regard, yes, I'm spoiled by having so many great rides to choose from!

(No, I haven't been to PKD, PKI, SMFF, etc -- CP is the one big park I've been too -- just my bad luck that it would have to be one of the best and everything else appears to be a step down! This summer I hope to get to more!)

I hear ya, but I wouldn't call Kennywood, SFMM, BGW, SFGAm or Holiday World a step down from anything. Once you visit those parks, you'll understand...

Too much is simply NOT ENOUGH...
I think us CP fans are junkies, but the fact is CP is a great park. My ex-girlfriend lives here in Cincinnati, and she had never been to CP. I kept telling her how it was better than PKI. She said there was no way. I told her I would take her up there, then we broke up. She went up with some friends, came back and said to me she couldn't believe the difference. Now, I love PKI, but I'm always going to be a CP junkie at heart. It's the little things that really make a difference for me. The coasters are a big part of it, but things like food, cleanliness (I've yet to see a park as clean as CP), and ride op attitude/friendliness all help make the experience more/less enjoyable.

I am a CP coaster junkie born and raised. And to answer your question, yes we are spoiled and yes we love it. I don't see anything wrong with being spoiled because of CP, and yeah we do have higher expectations of the park but that is because it is such an excellent park that it deserves high expectations. When I started to visit other parks across the country, they were no Cedar Point but they had a lot of different rides that Cedar Point does not. For example, I didn't even know rides like Kennywood's Exterminator and The Whip even existed. I enjoy being spoiled because when I experience new rides at other parks it makes them that much better.
