Again I'm going to stay there from:
April 2nd to April 17th

SFGAdv is opening the weekend you arrive and will be open from 10 am to 8 pm everyday throught the 10th. The park is closed the 11th, and then open on weekends till May. You can get to the park via bus from NYC on NJTransit. You should drop them an email and find out what bus route it is.
Coney Island, or more specifically Astroland where the Cyclone lives, opens weekends starting Palm Sunday, which is the Sunday after you arrive. This will be the easiest park for you to get to, just ride the subway there.
Hope this helps.
SFGAdv looks like such an incredible park, I'm really looking forward to going there...
I'm not able to rent a car, but my friend is able to rent a car, so please also tell me which parks are also open, and within driving distance!
cheers Wolf
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
Fate is the path of least resistance.
Again, I'll be able to go around with by car.. so please tell me which parks are going to be open, from 2 - 17th April?
The park should be within 5 hours of driving distance..

We've all offered suggestions. You have access to the internet. Each park we've mentioned has a website. Might I suggest you do your OWN legwork and find the info for yourself??
I'm not trying to be rude, I just think you're being a little lazy by expecting others to do your trip planning for you.
Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just being an ass?

The problem is that most parks have homepages, which are not up to date.. they still have timetables from 2003, so it's hard for me, to guess if those parks are open or not...
Since some of you might live close by those parks, it might be easier for you to find it out!
This is just my point of view, but I still hope you help me out!
Thx,
greetz Wolfgang
I know about Six Flags Great Adventure, Hershey + Dorney, but is there anything else in the area?
I'm only looking for thrills, so parks with ferris wheels and stuff like that are non of my business ;)

Black7 - without a car you can also get to Rye Playland from the NYC area.
