Anyone else like the sound of an Arrow lift hill?

I love the sound of Arrow chain lifts. The sound on Magnum is like awesome, there is nothing like it in the world.

Fabulous sound, a wonderful "classic" roller coaster noise. It wouldn't be an amusement park if you didn't hear the clickety-clacks from the parking lot.

I love that sound, even it's it's really loud when you're on it. Sometimes i try to talk to whoever i'm at the park with and it's a little hard, but who cares?! :)

I love hearing the sound of the GASM from the parking lot. It makes me feel at home.

Oh, and it makes it easier to find the Loch Ness Monster. :)

It's a warm clickity clack. But is it me or does the Loch Ness Monster click-clack sound just a little different from all the other arrows? It's more of a tinklety tink tink wouldn't you think? ;)

Yeeee Haaawwww!

The only Arrow coaster I have been on is Python at BGT. It really does have a cool lift sound. I love it. When it makes it to the lift after the turn around, it grabs the chain and pulls it off the track for a second before the train actually starts going up. It reminded me of how primitive a looping coaster it was, even though it was there before I was born, it was still pretty cool. Very cool stuff.

I agree with you. I don't like Arrow lift hills. Shockwave's lift hill was very noisy.

the anti rool back on the magnum looks so weird
I personally can't help but to love the Arrow lift noise, because me and my family eat our lunch in the parking lot at Great America, a perfect place to hear Shockwave. They should sell that noise on CD in the gift shops. *** This post was edited by Shockwave Rules - SFGAm on 8/7/2001. ***
It is a "comfort" sound. I especially like the sound of good old Nessie's lift. Some people make comments like it sounds like it is broken, or it needs a good greasing. I just laugh and tell them that it is the best sound around.

As long as I hear the lift hill of Nessie or Anaconda nearby, I know they are running and everything is good in life.

AMEN! Clank-Ca-Ca-Clank-Ca-Ca-Ca-Clank....:)

My favorite Coaster is named after Poop, and I actually like Boomerangs! What is wrong with me?

The sound when the trains come off the top is the best part of it, that ratcheting sound. Of course my fav sound is the B&M roar, it is what hooked me to coasters. I first heard it on Iron Wolf and then the first Batman:TR, sucked me in fully.

I love the sound of Arrow lifts. Yes, they are noisy, but it somehow is soothing to me. The Steel Phantom/Phantom's Revenge lift is always one of the first sounds you hear when you get out of your car at Kennywood. It has greeted me for the past 10 years :)

Click-clack-click-clack, my heart starts racing as the train crests the hill, oh man what a rush...I'm in agreement with the majority opinion, the noise gets the blood flowing to the little-known "coaster Gland".

It's a cool sound, but I feel bad for the neighbors. You can hear that from far away! Will X's lift be loud like that? Also, the most annoying sound is when V2 takes off. It sorta makes a very high pitched Rrrrrreeeeeeeeerrrrrrr sound. I don't like it.

Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I love the sound of a Linear Launch or a old Weightdrop Shuttle Loop Launch...ahhhh..music to my ears...

I totally disagree, the loudness of the anti-roll backs really pumps me up and lets me know I'm in for one helluva ride!

So... I love the sound! :)

I'd buy if it sounded anything like Viper or Ninja (SFMM)!
