Any "Coaster Deals" with your family?

Do you have any "Coaster Deals" with your family?
My dad just made me a sweet deal I sure won't mess up on. If I get all B's or better next year, he is buying me a plane ticket to go back East so I can go to Kennywood, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, Hershy Park, Dorney Park, and Cedar Point:) I'm still trying to see if he'll let me got to PKI or PKD.

Man, your lucky! My dad made me get all A's for last year, in exchange for lots of coaster trips this summer. Well, I didn't get all A's and missed alot of parks I wanted to get to this summer, but I still got to alot of places.

Bull rides: 81
Shockwave rides: 55
You guys are lucky. My dad tells me Im stupid for even liking coasters. I only get to go to Ohio parks, and thats if my grades are GOOD (which rarely happens). Although i guess i shouldnt be complaining about only going to ohio parks.
My Dad dosn't even like coasters! Although my Mom rides with me.
I don't get crap for my grades! I maintain a 4.0 and all I get is a pat on the back.

I know exactly how you feel SFMWManiac87.... I too have a 4.0 GPA (Straight A's) and all I get is to go to the amusement parks in my area.... 1 hour drive or less and I have to pay for the tickets myself with my job money. My dad and mom feel that I have to have great grades no matter what. I got grounded for 2 weeks about 2 years ago for getting a "B." So everyone who does not get straight A's..... you are lucky you don't have my parents. They think I'm a perfect angel (which is far far from the truth) and want me to go to Harvard or U Penn (Wharton) or anything "Ivy League." I wish I got the same deal.... I always get at least b's.... I want to go on a coaster trip like SFMMFreak85... but I live on the East Coast... so I want to go to the west coast instead..... SFMM... Knott's... PGA... SFMW.. etc. That would be awesome.

I'm only 13 so I have to use chore money for everything. So I'm flat busted. I live on the west coast and I want to go to the east coast. Looks like we're in a predicament eh Ace15? LOL. :)

joey isch, I know what you mean. Insensitive fathers are a fact of life though (for some people.) It sucks, but then you get to turn 18, and you can be free from his dictatorship!

As for my coaster deals, I have an unspoken deal about anything, and it applies to coasters as well. If I beg my mom enough to tell my dad to go somewhere, we will go there. It requires about a month of begging, though, which really sucks, but thats what grandparents are for! :)

Do your own homework!
How it happened, I don't know, but my closest friends are a bit older than myself. Most coaster trips I go on are with Buzzer "cernelli," who drives -- fast and far. I guess I lucked out in that way.

As for grades, my parents are understanding. I never get below B's, and that doesn't bother them. They support my idea that spending all my time with my face buried in a book getting straight A's isn't as fulfilling (for me, anyway) as getting A's and B's while going out with friends, going to amusement parks, and having a social life.

For those of you out there who are flat broke (as I often am), I recently came upon a source for some quick money: eBay. Right now, I'm auctioning a big old load of WWF action figures and an equally big load of WWF magazines. I have no interest in wrestling anymore, so the time was right to put 'em up. As of this writing, the two auctions will be bringing in upwards of $250 total. Paramount's Kings Island and Holiday World, here I come!

Of course, by the end of the year, I'll be entering that wonderful world of employment... ;)

My favorite Coaster is named after Poop, and I actually like Boomerangs! What is wrong with me?
Man, I had all A's through middle school, I should get a trip to Japan IMO...

If you wanna dis me, then go knit a seater... or somethin' like that...
I have to maintain above a 3.5 for 4 years and for a senior present i get to go to California,Texas,Florida,East Coast,ENgland, and another foreign country to be named later.

All Bs! youre lucky i never get rewards for good grades, i will but it doesnt start for another year, they say youve been to 3 parks this year isnt that enough? Youve been to 4 parks isnt that enough, youve been to 5 parks havent you had enough,Youve been to 6 parks, thats enough, youve been to CP once already why go to Millennium Mania? Why go to PKD when its the same as PKI. Youve been to SFWoA enough, im not driving you all the way there (keep in mind i live 3 minutes away).

Well, last quarter I had one of those coaster/grades deals. Unfourtunatley, I contracted the disease "Sitonmyass-ingitis," which causes symptoms like "Lackofgiveadamn-ness," so I just goofed off the whole quarter.

Oh well, it doesn't matter to me any more anyway. It's nice to know two people that are interested in coasters that get their liscenses (And cars mind you) in March and May. :)

All I get from my parents is a ride up (only if it fits their schedule). My dad hates roller coasters and my mom has back problems. Still I'm luckier than a lot of you since gettin a free ride is better than standing up on the bus (always crowded) or even walking.

Son of Beast is rough...so what? That's the way I like it!
man i wish i got to go to any theme park i wanted for having a 4.0 gpa. all i get is a $100 dollars from my parents and i have been taking them to the bank since 5th grade.

another thing is my dad hates coasters. the only one i can get him on is the beast. my mom will ride everything with me.

i know what you mean ace15, i had a B in math at midterms and my mom grounded my for a week. AT MIDTERMS! she then said if i didn't get it up to an A, then she would ground me for a month and i would have been without phone, pc, and playstation. needless to say i got it up to an A.

Vortex rules!!!! (still)
my parents dont give me any rewards for grades. all i need is my liscense and i dont need their ride. when i get my liscense i might plan a trip to california some time to go to all the parks there. i live in VA and its almost too far out. all the really good parks are too far. i want to go to SFWoA and CP, but my parents said that when we go to ohio i only get to pick one. maybe if i save the money, i can pay for everybody and they wont care, but who knows. i just wanna live and ride, its all i really care about anymore. i wanna be an architect and build coasters for my carreer. i even wanna die on a roller coaster, not some stupid hospital bed-it sounds like a boring place to die.
The reward I get is $100 for straight A's. I barely ever get to go to parks. The only times I get to go is with a teen group in my city. Most parks around me are way expensive or too crowded to go to often. I am dying to go to the East coast but it doesn't seem like it will be happening soon. Only 2 1/2 more years till I can drive to any park I want. Muhaha!
I actually made a deal with my dad. He is overweight, and cannot fit into coasters, but he likes them. I told him that if he loses enough to fit into coaster cars, we are going on a road trip to SFKK, SFWOA, CP, and my home park, PKI (that one a lot).

I have the same problem as SFMWManiac87.
I don't get anything for all A's on every report card.
I sometimes try to guilt my parents by saying, "But such and such got $100 for all C's and I don't get anything?!?!". HA! I wish. Then I get the old "It comes easy for you..." speech. :(
