Anway of telling who's on with you?

Hi is there anyway you can tell who's on with you.
I know you can tell how many but can you make a way that would tell who's on also.

I guess the easiest way is to see who just posted a reply or new topic. Click on their info and try to IM them if it's listed. A lot of work but could be done. Or just save a persons IM name into your buddy list and eventually you can talk to them.

I often thought it would bee a cool feature too.

How about how many members compared to just the "GP";) or surfers at one time?

Besides, what difference would it make? THERE IS NO, THERE WILL BE NO, THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR a "chat" function, as Jeff keeps reminding us...what other purpose could such a feature possibly have?

At the rate the topics fly down the list of the General Buzz forum lately, it may be handy to know whether someone you want to reply to a post is currently on and may be able to reply immediately. You don't want your post to get buried before certain people have a chance to read it. Just a thought.
Its certainly not enough of a reason to compromise system resources, but possibly a valid reason nonetheless.
