Anther Chaos accident.

At SFKK last year when the ride came down I saw a empty car get locked upside down when the ride ended....and the restraints opened. After that it was closed the rest of the day and the car stayed upside down with restraints open until after the park closed.

i've been running a chaos pratically every day the past two weeks (carnival version w/ manual EVERYTHING, ugh)

i agree they are problematic, it seems everyday something new is going wrong w/ them...

The Michigan"s Adventure "incident" was due to improper maintenence practices. The Hub bolts which have to be periodically checked to insure they are cranked to the proper torque setting weren't. The hub is a pain in the butt to get to, and apparently they were visually checking them instead of going in wihtthe torque wrench.
After riding one of these rides at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion (before it was removed due to maintenence issues...), I can say that they are really a lot of fun, but the maintenence has to be a nightmare on them. The one they had was almost always down when we went, and from my discussions with one of the ride ops on it, it was really a pain to balance.

I also noticed that while riding it, it doesn't provide the most "safe" feeling ride. Between the restraints which lurched forward and back about half an inch everytime you flipped, the cage-like bar in front of you, and the creaking noises coming from every joint on the ride, it just didn't feel like it was something that should be taking you up high in the air, and flipping you around.

If Chance could fix the problems, and make this ride reliable, I'm sure a LOT more parks would buy them, because once you get one of the cars flipping, it's a ton of fun.
