Anther Chaos accident.

I heard about anther Chaos accident in Jersey this weekend. This is the 3rd one I can remember in recent years. Who makes the Chaos them? Do you think they will shut down all of them for inspection? Do you think these accidents are from neglect from the park and poor maintenance.

Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken (and I could be) the latches for each car are individually released by foot pedals. It could be operator error.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Chance makes the Chaos.
Take a Chance and ride a Chaos. Talk about job loyalty. She probably gonna sue the heck out of the park. Funny how they tried to stop the parents from taking pictures.

Thanks,
DMC

It would be very interesting to find out if the secondary "broke" as in became unlocked, or "broke" as in the locks for the secondary actually broke away.
Playa: To my knowledge, the restraints for the Chaos rides are released automatically or through the control panel. While there probably is a manual release for the seats, I've never seen it used during normal ride operation.
Both Valleyfairs and Cedar Points Chaos's got ratching OTSR's this year with a manual release for each tub.

In the past all of the tubs where released by the console operator at the end of the ride.

That article is a bunch of crap from some people that want money. Believe me the ride never flipped her with the lose restraint. The state is not involved at all and the ride is allowed to reopen when the park wants it to. *** Edited 6/22/2005 1:02:22 AM UTC by medusa3232***
Thanks for the information, Jerry.

medusa, how exactly do you know this? If your restraint opened up on an inverting ride, you'd be scared to death. Even if the ride didn't flip them upside down, even rocking from side to side could cause injury for someone when they're attempting to hold on for dear life. Wait for the results of the investigation by people who know more than you before you judge.

People who know more than me? I know all there is to know. All I am going to say is that I do work there. I know alot more than you. There is a good chance the ride will be open with the park on Thursday. *** Edited 6/22/2005 1:27:20 AM UTC by medusa3232***
You know all there is to know?

Why did my puppy die when I was 8 years old... WHY? :(

Because god hates you.
Apparently he knows that God isnt capiltalized meaning the one and only, or gasp hes a polytheistic person. Wow maybe hes omnipotent, strange *** Edited 6/22/2005 4:07:34 AM UTC by MagnunBarrel***

Is this why the chaos at Indiana beach was closed on monday?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

the 2 incidents were completely different

big things for 2008-2010!
They've been having uhh... problems with the Chaos at Cedar Point as well. It'll stall, the ride ops had to jog the car down.

Let's just say one time it might not have been all the way down, and when releasing restraints one of the tubs flipped forward, spilling it's contents.

It seems that they(chaos) are having a lot of problems. Not just with the restraints, but also the problem at Michigans adventure a few years ago as well.

I just dont feel safe getting one of these things anymore.

The ride stalling and having to be jogged down, could've been a balance issue or a simple fault, nothing much to worry about and the cars should be parked and locked into position before the restraints are opened.
