Here's a new article about Tomb Raider: The Ride in The Western Star, a newspaper that covers the Warren County area: http://www.western-star.com/ws/290007480954136.bsp
Pay close attention to the 9th and 10th paragraph, especially about the sound system, and the words "creatures", and "wheeled vehicle"(!). There's a few things in there I hadn't heard before and quite interesting comments. Hmm... So, what do you think?

The things that stood out to me where the "4 groups of about 70 people will experience the thrill at once" and "guests must be 54 in. or taller to ride as of now". It sounds like it would be something similar to dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom but it still doesn't come together with the 54 in. height regulation...
It would seem like they were going to put a Vertigo inside a small building but its too out there.

This does now sound very much like Indiana Jones and the Dinosaur. If so then I am very excited as I absolutely loved Dinosaur and I've heard alot of good things about IJ. That beats an enclosed top-spin a million times over in my book.

I know nobody besides the people over at PKI know what TR:TR will be but I thought I had a pretty good idea of what TR:TR will be but this article has totally thrown me off course. As Sean. F previously said though, "The wheeled vehicle wasn't an actual quote," so I guess TR:TR will still remain "shrouded in secretcy" until April 5!
(sigh of relief) only 18 days, 3 hours, 15 min, and 40 sec.!

Where has the magic gone in the name Disney?
Don`t expect it to be one type of ride, because when it opens and its not the ride you expected you`ll be disappointed. I`m what you would call PKI crazy (I went 34 times last year) and I am very excited about TR:TR. I am one who thinks that this ride would be a five star attraction in my books, without a ride and just the theming! The theming I`ve seen for this ride look awesome. I can`t wait 18 more days until the season pass holder night to ride TR:TR!

I`ve ridden Son of Beast 67 times!
Robbie,
Nice way to view it. I think the same way. I just hope there aren't a slew of disappointed people around me when I ride it. They tend to annoy me greatly at times.
Rob (Wow, two robs in one reply! Cool),
The 'whisked' through darkness could pertain to just about any ride. A scrambler could 'whisk' riders through darkness. Heck, if they enclosed the Flying Skooters, those could whisk also.......and of course bang from the snapping, but I am sure you get my point.

Sigh.....some folks will never understand, will they?
How come Huss can theme Giant Top Spins with WWF paraphenelia (Smack Down Theming), Lightning Bolts and huge cylinders on the arms (Mega Hurts), even ripped down buildings (Tornado) but not wheels?
As for SecondSon and others who don't see a Top Spin transporting 75 people (and who missed it from earlier TR:TR threads), click here....now ya do. Giant Top Spins hold 77 passengers.
Furthermore, why can't some people figure out that even though it's a Top Spin, it isn't a Top Spin....that the Top Spin is simply the delivery system of a full-bore simulation?
Those who Refuse To Believe can meet me at Coasterbuzzcon at the Skyline Chili Stand at Coney Island for raw, feet-on Crow with Vinegar. It'll be my treat. :P

Remember the source! This is the same media that we know is very good at mis-quoting things. These are the same people that write the articles regarding ride accidents and such that everyone here knows can be way off base.
I'm not sure why everyone so quick to believe the lines the newspaper is filling in especially.
