Another Holiday World enthusiast event?

While not associated with Coasterbuzz there have been many events on the West Coast during the last year or so, all with ERT:

Knott's Solace 2002, Knott's Solace 2003, ACE Con, Legoland Block Party, ACE Day @ Bonfante Gardens, and events [who's name I can't recall] at PGA and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

I have been to most of those events. I should have said that I wanted to see a Coasterbuzz event on the west coast.

"Actually Brent, the Fall Freakout events have always been 2 (or is it 3?) weeks before PPP."

So I wasn't wrong afterall? Ha! Take that, Brent ;)

WWGD?

I personally wouldn't do a second event at HW simply because of the distance. One is enough for me.

I wouldn't mind one at Indiana Beach, however.

Easy question, easy answer...where do I sign up and who do I have to promise my first born child to to make it happen?

Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to attend, September is a very bad month for me since it's the beginning of the fall term on campus. I create computer access and passwords and there is no way I could get time off. If it weren't a 7 hour drive, I'd consider it.

I'll just have to be happy with SRM. Still trying to figure out a way to afford CBuzz Con at SFGAm.

Ya know, Chaindog brings up a good question. With all the enthusiasts in Indiana for SRM, many of whom already head to Indiana Beach after the event, why hasn't the park planned an event for the Sunday after SRM? Seems to me it would be a perfect match!

Unfortunately we can't make SRM this year so the chance to get to a "late-season event" at HW would be very welcome.

My bad Fall Freak Out was the week before PPP.

What would gator do....well, mostly what he's BEEN doing....pushing for an ACE event at Stricker's post-SRM...why Stricker's instead of IB...glad you asked (even though you didn't, hehe). For basically the same reason we tried for Puyallup post-CAC...it's a tough credit to get. With enthusiasts doing so much travelling already, it seems like a park that's not *normally* open SHOULD be open when there's a bunch (a big bunch) of enthusiasts already in the area...(we already travel thousands of miles, what's a couple hours' drive?)...

But if there was an sort of *official-type* event going on at IB, or PKI, or LL, or Stricker's, or (gasp) even SFKK....we'd be there. SRM is the starting point for my first week of summer coasting, it's a tradition...why? Cause it's Holiday World, and adding events THERE is awesome. :):) One for HW, and one for SS....and I'm not even a water park fan...;)

Bring it on Jeff.. another event would be great.. sorry since I'm from indy I'm bias.. but seriuosly .. those of us who can go (I know there are alot of midwest buzzers out there who can .. some people can't attend SRM.. so a smaller event at HW would be great.. Speaking for any buzzer who was at the GOCC event last fall.. the smaller events as HW are great.. the park vibe is awesome any day, and week any part of the season..

so you have my vote..

As I am not able to attend SRM because of financial constraints, I would be open to September event as I have never been to that park( or Cedar Point)

Meet me at the PNE on April 17,2003. Happy 45th birthday,Coaster!

I know several that would be up for this......as long as it doesn't coincide with any other ACE or GOCC event, some of which tend to happen in August and Sept. This would give everyone traveling west to HW yet a third shot at riding SFKK's new shuttle this year ;)

As much as we love HW, another 8 hour drive probably wouldn't be in the cards for us. We have to pick and choose our events/trips wisely. Plus it sounds like a late Sept. event and we have family coming in from FL to go to CP :)
I would be there. My daughter graduates this year on the same weekend as SRM so I can't go. I would love an opportunity to attend and event there.
I'd certainly think about it -- I can't commit for sure until we have a solid date, that I can verify doesn't conflict with anything else in my schedule.

Would this be a coasterbuzz member only event, or would it be open to all coaster club members like SRM?

It would likely be like any other CB event. There's a member price and a non-member price.

Even though I am not a "club member", I think that SDC and CC in Branson would be a good fit for you guys (and gals). Granted ACE here has Coaster Christmas in December, but you could have it sometime in Late Autumn.
