Another Holiday World enthusiast event?

Been talking with Holiday World about another event. Obviously a lot of you (OK, probably everybody) will be there for Stark Raven Mad, but would you consider attending a late-season event there?

Just putting out some feelers. Just talking right now...

Doesn't GOCC already have an event in October? Or are they not doing it this year?

Mmmm, sounds good. I can't make SFGAm because it is so early (beastbuzz for other reasons), so a late season event would be great. 2 Holiday world events sounds like having two birthdays in one year! There are a few delinquents like Moosh I know who can't make SRM, so hopefully they can come to a second one!

Exactly-it would be like a reprieve for those who can't attend SRM, and a chance for the rest of us to do it all over again! The minute you work it out, you'll get a check from me.

Brent - the September event is hosted by different clubs, so it's not always a GOCC event. IIRC MACC did it one year, too. I believe no club has asked to have an event for this fall, hence Jeff asking if people would attend one.

Jeff - because I am missing SRM I would most definitely be interested in attending. I cannot say I would be 100% confirmed at this point but put me down as a "definitely maybe." LOL!

Moosh - trying to get to HW somehow this year

We usually host a club event in the fall...it seems to get called "the GOCC event" even when it's a different club. :) No, GOCC is not planning a fall event at Holiday World this year.

Thanks, Paula

Yeah, this is total speculation and idea mongering. We haven't even had our two events this year, but I'm already thinking about next year. I'm already thinking about where BuzzCon '04 will be, and who I can get to play along. HW wouldn't be BuzzCon material since they already have a flagship event, but a smaller event would certainly be fun there.

Carry on... just interested in some opinions.

Hershey Park is the first park that came to mind when you mentioned Buzz Con '04. I've just got this feeling... That would be pretty sweet! :)

I was going to make some sort of off-color joke about the Kissing Tower....but then decided against...sorta....;)
Since I'm not attending SRM this year, I would definitely be interested in the possibility of a late-season event.

Sounds like fun then. Would we be looking at the week after PPP or so? I am always up for a trip to HW.

And why does Hershey have to smell so good? LOL

Right now it is 50/50 if I will be going to SRM, so I would definitely go to the event later in the season if I don't go to SRM. Danny- I also think Hershey park would be great for BuzzCOn 04'. All the wooden coasters and Great Bear:)

I would like to see an event on the west coast.

While not associated with Coasterbuzz there have been many events on the West Coast during the last year or so, all with ERT:

Knott's Solace 2002, Knott's Solace 2003, ACE Con, Legoland Block Party, ACE Day @ Bonfante Gardens, and events [who's name I can't recall] at PGA and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Actually Brent, the Fall Freakout events have always been 2 (or is it 3?) weeks before PPP. Although I only visit once or twice a year (mainly for the gocc/macc events.. SRM this year though!), I'd definitely be up for another trip :).

I'd totally be up for another fall event at HW! Holiday World is just godly... Is it May yet?
