How do you know everyone is going to like the ride? What if its rough, or only worth one ride because you don't like the feeling of spinning through loops at 80mph? The Zipper (flat ride)seems to simulate the motion ot the cars on X, and I really didn'y like the ride. Sorry, I don't mean to be so negative. Just a thought.
I'm not going on Roller Coaster 1, it's not safe.

I'm interested to get Jeff's opinion on the ride...I know he hasn't ridden it yet, but I am interested to hear if he thinks it will be too intense or not...

Intense? Yes. Will some people not go on it? Yes. But that's every ride. Goliath was intense and still is to a point, but people flock to that ride. GP and especially enthusiasts will see this thing in action and literally run to the gates. At least, that's what I hope happens. Could be the ride is a flop, no pun intended. ;) No one really knows until the thing is seen in action.
IMHO, I think X is the definition of a 21st century, New Millennium Coaster. This thing is the Uber Coaster! I wish I could ride it though...
I'm happy if not many ride it - less queues!!! Although i wanna see some more of these so it had better not be a flop.

I was just at the park yesterday. Let me tell you that these pictures dont do justice. The track and the supports are just massive. The ones used for thepull out and the raven tun make B&M supports look like tooth picks. This ride is going to kick some major butt. I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot of pile ups when cars crash after seeing the ride when they are pulling into the enrty.

I think that if you have a serious heart disease and you disobey the rules you will have a heart a attack. Actually, it's probably better if the general peeps can't handle X, cuz that will cut down the lines for us coaster freaks.
Now, why couldn't SFMM work like this in January? If they did, the ride would be nearly open. Then, SFMM would make even more money.
The drop looks insane!! The ride wait is going to be "forever." Hope the ride capacity is good.

I'm assuming that the 88.5 degree drop has to do with parabolic hills. if the trains have some sort of forward momentum then a parabolic hill won't allow a 90 degree drop. by slowing down the train before the drop then you can have the close to vertical drop. with forward momentum and a vertical drop the trains and riders would experience some sort of stress. have fun Californians! may your coaster reek of awsomeness!

Just by judging the first drop and seeing the animation and hearing from Gary Bird that this thing is going to have some serious G's associated with this ride. Especially the "raven loop." I think that Six Flags is going to have to move there promotions of V2 and the space shuttle to X. "One ride and your are qualified to a NASA astronaut!"
