Angry with SFWOA

I re-upped my passes this year from SFMW, but when I tried to get my wife's pass done, they told me the numbers didn't jive. I ended up talking to SF on the phone, and through a number of pass-offs, I was eventually able to fix the problem, and get the updated sticker for my wife's pass. They aren't the bad guys, people. Call 'em and talk with control. They will help you out.

trust me I had the best time out there...I would tell more about the show but I can't, it would ruin the show...

anyways as someone mentioned I would have had the pass processed but SFMM was in its last week of the winter schedule...and we flew back to Clevelnad on Thursday...so I had no time nor place to have it processed!

And I dont know about you but $50 is alot of money to me (im 17) and if I can get it for free I will try to get it, wouldnt you?

And trust me being on TV is the coolest thing! It was an amazing experience that I will always remember...
I just thought I had my pass...

SFWoA and Giant Eagle sell passes for the same price. That price stays in effect until mid June.

If you can't get a straight answer from Six Flags, then sell the voucher and buy one for WoA. In the end, you won't be paying anything at all.

I'd really keep on SF's butt about this. The only other alternative is having them provide you with a flight to SFMM to process your pass :)

Petie - can you please be more specific. What did you tell them? What did they say to you in return?

Don't believe everything you think. - bumper sticker seen on 4/19/03

I explained how we were out there for the Discovery Channel show (the woman from SFMM remembered that they taped the show) I explained how the manager of the park gave us the tickets, we received them late at night and how we flew back the next morning...
The only person who seemed to care was the woman from guest relations, she went and asked her supervisor...but no luck

the man from SFMM season pass was funny though-"why didnt you have the plane turn around when you still had a chance?"

so I sent another email to the production comapany (Im sure they no longer care)

but hey I will be on TV and thats so awesome...and it looks like I will be buying two seasons passes when I get some money (cedar point and SFWOA)

Markieb, no they didn't have to wait in line with other people, but they did wait and wait for hours for the production crew, sound and camera crew to set up for each challenge. They waited longer than any of us ever did in a regular line for a ride. And, also, got on VERY FEW rides, most of the challenges did not involve coasters. So, please don't assume that they got a free trip to SFMM to ride the rides and no lines. They were at the park over two days for more than 25 hours and maybe got on 3 coasters. They worked their butts off, and basically were always told to "Hurry Up and Wait"! It's going to be awsome to see them on tv and I'm very proud of my daughter and Petie for being selected and they would never trade the experience for anything, but it was not all fun and games, it was basically, alot of work, very little sleep and even less rides. If Discovery Channel continues this next year with a new group of teams, at least all of you will have an idea of what to expect, and don't expect to spend you time riding rides!!

A lot of other theme park chains would do anything it takes to help you. You are appearing on a TV program in support of SF. You make the kids nag the parents to go to the park. You are in fact a salesman for the product they sell.

SF doesn't need someone in your position to be unsatisfied with the result to a problem that could be fixed so easily. What are they thinking?

one of the producers emailed me back...she is going to try and work it out

*crosses fingers*

The problem lies in the fact that every voucher for a season pass has a number which is aparently tracked to determine where people are buying their season passes. You want to hand them a voucher with a number that probably doesn't exist among their possible numbers (because it is for a California Park), or would be someone else's number of someone who actually bought a voucher here in Ohio. They obviously can't type in some random number, as it might turn out to belong to someone who paid $60+ for a season pass. Additionally, they might have to "Give" you a voucher for a SFWoA season pass, which is worth more than sixty dollars, and I certainly don't want to the one to tell my supervisor "Oh, by the way, we only lost 1 voucher today!"

You have undoubtedly won a season pass fair & square, I just hope people realize the system is setup to minimize mistakes and losses from seasonal employees, which, unfortunetly in your case, means that we have to give you the run-around. Sorry for the mess, and I hope one of my fellow employees can help you out. Please contact me through e-mail and I will contact my supervisors to see how (if at all possible) we can get you a replacement Season Pass for Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. I know that on rare occasions guests recieve free season passes, so I will personally petition for you. Once again, e-mail me and, good luck!
