And the worst pop up award goes to:

IE 6.0 is what I've been recommending when people have had trouble, and *most of the time*, I think it's the best browser in terms of reliability...apologies to those who prefer their quirky obscure browsers...*ducks head*. Of course, as jimmybob said, the club membership does seem to have its benfits...so anyway, I'm *thinking* maybe the pop-up loading is causing you some grief in IE...

You could switch to Earthlink, who advertises their "Popup Blocker" tool. Earthlink is even a proud advertiser here on Coasterbuzz.com!

I do have a pop up stopper because some sites have so many pop ups but if Jeff only runs 2 a page I'm fine with it.

Thanks jeff.

If I put ad code in the way I think I did, you should never have more than one pop per page (not including the layer ad that slides onto the page, usually first and always once per session). If you get more than one at a time, I'd suspect you had something naughty running in the background. Knowing how many people use some file trading programs, that wouldn't surprise me (almost all install spy/adware).

I just looked around, and found that I had ten pops in 20 pages, in this case the second through 11th pages, and none after that. These things are session capped so, for example, if you tend to read the forums a lot in one sitting, you won't see any pops (or paid ads for that matter) after you've been looking for awhile.

Gotta love that big skyscraper ad with Millennium Force on it though. That's the only thing helping me recover from a very ugly February.

The pop ups seemed to have increased lately - boy I've won so many cash prizes I've lost count!

Sometimes when I click on a news article all I get is the coasterbuzz header and an add banner and pop-up, and nothing else! Then I have to click refresh for the page to load properly, and then I get another pop-up. Perhaps this is a fault, maybe on UK served ads?!?

I have no clue as to why but on neither Cbuzz or GTTP when I am not logged in I never get any ads of any kind. No pop ups and no on page ads. Quite odd if you ask me as I have no ad stopping software and get ads on other pages.

Not a big deal on Cbuzz as I am a member. But I am getting off scott free so to speak on GTTP. I am running IE 6.0.26 on a 1.8 Ghz Toshiba laptop.

Grant: It is possible that you'd get different ads viewing from the UK, and that the technology serving those ads varies. I know, for example, that there are BT ads out there, which we'd obviously never see here in the states.
