In a ceremony today at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio, Amusement Today announced the results of its highly anticipated 2004 Golden Ticket Awards. The park was named Best Park again this year with its Millennium Force receiving top honors for Best Steel Coaster, displacing Six Flags New England's Superman by a few points. The Best Wood Coaster award went to Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce. As usual, Holiday World got a nod for being the friendliest and cleanest.

This is sorta a dumb question, but over in the gallery at Pointbuzz, theres a person that looks like, (from what I remember), the Mrs. Koch from holiday world. Were there representatives from different parks like Holiday world also who attended the event or just CP?
Yes, Pat and Will Koch were there. Jeff Siebert from PKI was also there. The others I don't really recognize.
I looked through the pictures and I also saw a person with a Fiesta Texas shirt also.
Congrats to Cedar Point as Best Park. Its a One of A kind place!
I am slightly curious that the top ten coasters in both categories are in the United States. There is no doubt that most of those entries are deserving, but there are coasters in other countries that are top ten rides too (Balder at Liseberg, for example).
