Well I think its a bit of a cheek to say that Europe's coasters will never top america, You've obviously never heard of Silverstar at Europa,Colossos at Heide Park and GeForce at Holiday Park which IMO is just slighty better than Milly at CP and YES I have ridden both :-p

Also At least there is one thing I love about British/European Coasters, hardly none are braked to death every 5 seconds :-p

Thats intelligent considering the coaster companies are all European.

Oh boy, this is almost as fun as a CP vs. SFMM debate. Hoorah!

Anyway, there's plenty of fun to be had on both coasts, er I mean continents.

I knew a ton of people on the ACE Europe trip. All of them were majorly disappointed in Silverstar due to the excessing braking. I'm not so sure you have a winner there.

Moosh

I almost said the same Moosh according to Robb Silverstar was the epitome of anticapointment. Sean Flaherty on the other hand loved it but from the people I have talked to he was the minority in that feeling.

Most EU parks do not have the investment capitol that US parks do, however UK coasters have beaten US records many times. Height, speed, length, angle, inversions, suspended (although Odysseys stats are debateable!). The Spanish market has only taken off in the last decade, & has an amazing collection of coasters already. Germany only got it 1st woody a few years ago, not to mention Colossus, and on that topic I dont know Paul, but I know others who have ridden all the coasters you mention. France has also produced excellent rides, Zeus, Goudurix, & Space mountain in Paris 'tops' all dark coasters in the US.

To get back to SW6, I think this may get the go-ahead from the locals, its on the other side of the park from Alton village, and will be behind the Corkscrew from them, Oblivion is far closer. I also think this will prompt Geoffrey Thompson to get a move on with Blackpools' new ride, whatever it materialises to be Geoffrey will not settle for something that doesn't grab worldwide attention. Your coasters could be 'topped' yet again my friend!

Well you've got me! Actually,I've been wanting to go to Europe! The Euro coasters I want to ride the most are Nemesis,Nemesis Inferno,Silver Star,Dragon Khan ,Oblivion,AIR,Megafobia,The Big One,Collosus(Thorpe Park),G-Force,and Zeus.
you could've said EU parks will never top US parks and have gotten me to you know! As said, there isn't the money but there's no shortage of imagineering over here. Where do most of your major rides come from again?LOL.

I hope you're not calling me a liar, because I think thats cheeky. For your information I have ridden all of those coasters except for Colossus at Heide Park(Which I hope to ride in 04 incidently) I rode Milly in 2001,GeForce in 2002, and Silverstar also last year.

My opinions on Silverstar is that it was good, but the braking is uncalled for, but there is still some pretty good airtime especially on the top, the ending is quite wild though with the zigzag track.

GeForce is absolutly stunning and really puts most other coasters to shame, I can safely say its the best coaster in Europe. It has great airtime, a very mad drop, and its feels very intense too, It is absolutly perfect

Millennium Force is also good and is very enjoyable, but IMO I slighty prefer GeForce. Milly does have an incredible drop though and is clearly designed to scare the pants out of you, The Overbanked turn is also quite insane and fun, but after that, Its nothing much, The airtime is not constant throughout unlike GeForce and it doesnt feel very intense either. Its still one of my favourite american coasters I've ridden though.

I think the future does look bright for Europe, There is the 95 degree drop coaster being built at Bon Bon Land, The amazing look Nemesis Inferno at thorpe, plus lots of others on the drawing board. Also the Alton Woodie that has been proposed looks amazing and is rumoured to be a very special ride with a world first element(Although I will believe it when I see it as this was said for AIR and nothing happened)

Yeah, the people I have spoken to gave preference to G Force over MF, interesting! I've yet to ride both!

I am a verifiable CP fanboy and MF does not even crack my top 20 coaster list. That beautiful Arrow beast on the oppisite side of the park however....
