Anyone see these before?

If so what is the company called that makes them? Do you know of any other coaster trains that they make?

Thanks,

Doug

Thanks,

Those are by Coasterdynamix. The folks who brought you the Scorpion, Dragon, and Comet operating models.

I believe these Busch trains are intended as souvenirs only and won't operate on the existing coaster systems because they are missing the high-quality wheels.

Whoever came up with those nailed the graphics.

I saw the Griffon trains for sale at one of the gift shops near the ride. They look really nice in person. I don't think they are intended to operate very well on the Coasterdynamix track as the original trains do since they have plastic wheels, but I believe Jack R. said you can purchase metal wheels for them so they will work.

Coasterdynamix will be offering wheel kits to replace the Statix trains' plastic wheels with metal wheels and will then be fully compatible with the Coasterdynamix track system.

They are also planning to release generic dive, floorless and hyper trains with the metal wheels in the near future. :)

There are also some for sale at cedarpoint as well.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

There is also a statix photo gallery on Coasterdynamix's website.

Notice the coaster train models are all B&M...

Is there a reason for this?

Vater's avatar
I would guess because the track and trains for the original CoasterDynamix models were patterned after B&M.
Acoustic Viscosity's avatar
^exactly. The track system is based around B&M. I wouldn't look for anything else until they develop a new track system which I wouldn't count on anytime soon.

yes, Raptor is for sale in the speed zone gift shop at cedarpoint for $30. But you better hurry, because there was only 1 left as of sunday.

I asked the clerk if they had anymore, and she said no but they sold so well that they are going to carry more (and differant coasters) next year.

I have to see if Worlds of Fun gets any Patriot ones. If they do I'm buying me one.

I wouldn't mind a Patriot train. It's got a really cool color scheme. I'd prefer that one over any of the other Invert trains actually.

I'm most anxious for a hyper train of some sort.

I spotted more pictures on their thread at http://www.sscoasters.net/forum/coaster_dynamix_introduces-t5787.html . They are beautiful.

Wow, that first pic totally caught me off guard. I thought it was the real thing until I noticed the texture of the flexible spine. :)
