all the lucky ones-post here

Anyone who has this already I would really like to know what new thrill rides there are in the game. For me that was one of the better parts of the first game a big help in getting the money necessary for build big coasters.
I got mine at Target in Bedofrd, Ohio anyways i made a giga coaster that was 400 ft. tall!!!!!! theres alot of cool stuff and its great!

The X coaster does have chair rotation control. I've seen pics. Another pic I saw, that was dissappointing, showed the Intamin Giga build toolbox. The slopes aren't any steeper than what we're using in RCT1. LAME!! This will make Goliath/MF recreations suck because it will take a massive stretch of land to build a 300ft+ lift/drop...(no to mention the missing overbanked turns). What were they thinking not to put the necessary elements in to create the most popular coaster in the world.

The Giga has the ability to use the steep incline for lift hill so it isnt that bad. As for the "roar", it is much closer than the original but not exact. It is close enough anyway. Also, the "multi-dimensional" coaster is pretty difficult at first, because of the seat rotation, quarter loop, so-on

Sadly, not too many new thrill rides. Magic Carpet and Teacups are really about it unless there's something hidden. Just a real shame that we couldn't have a handful more since that's probably the one thing most people have begged for. Maybe in the next mandatory expansion pack, eh?

Yes, 425ft is the maximum height.

I picked mine up at Target in Mission Valley, CA. The first thing I noticed is that the RCT version Roaring Rapids at SFMM runs backwards. It's kinda funny. Other than that, it is missing a few rides but is pretty well done. Nice to see Enterprise made it back into SFMM after a several year absence :).

djhush,

Take some freaking spelling and grammar lessons. Didn't is not spelled dident. Some people are complete morons. Is this how you wish to present yourself? "Look at me, I can't spell or use somewhat proper grammar. Give me a job and respect me for my knowledge."
Re-reading does wonders.

I fear for America.

I have to say it, Im dissapointed. There are (as far as I can see after one day) only three new flat rides! the teacups, the majic carpet, and the haunted mansion. There is a new trolley which is really cool and unexpected.

There is alot more cool stuff to build with, but what about the rides?other than rollercoasters, its a bit short.

but forget that, back ontopic... i find it odd that this version has higher requirements even though it uses pretty much the same game engine.

a) Is the reason you left on bad terms due to the fact that youu felt certain tasks were "beneath you". You say that as a CTL (whatever that means) you had to get carts and that was a job for people beneath your rank. Yet, in the same post, you say the CTL is a level 2 and cashiers & cart attendants are level 1. It doesn't appear to my trained eye that you were that high up the "food chain" to get all pissy about doing other tasks.

I manage a staff of five technicians and have all kinds of other work to do. But with cutbacks in the industry, I have to still pitch in and assist them when it gets to "crunch time". Does that give me the right to get all pissy too? NO. It's whats called life in the real world. The sooner you understand that the world (and the working world in particular) doesn't owe you jack****, you will go farther. (/stepping off soapbox)

b) The reason the game has higher requirements is that the maps are larger, there are more rides, shops, etc. all of which means there is much more to keep track of and therefore it needs more processing power...

Although djhush can't really spell, even when he's not in a hurry, you guys are taking this way too far. Just talk about RCT2!!!!

I checked the Target and Best Buy on Howe Rd. in Cuyahoga Falls/Akron but neither of them had it. I was a little dissapointed but that's alright. I'm going to buy it at Best Buy w/ my gift cards anyway.

Target stores in California had the shelves labled for it but no games.

Spelling queens take note- Disapointed- check your own spelling before you take others to task for poor spelling.

Cricket...hate to burst your bubble about checking spelling before taking others to task...but it is "disappointed"...

Speaking of the "Enterprise", is anyone else a bit dissapointed that the wheel still raises and lowers in large steps? I would have thought this would be smoother, seeing that frame rates were supposedly improved, at least on the coasters in this version. Other then that little anal number, I'm quite satisfied with all the new features!

Having now worked at Target for 4 years, holding every level 1 and some level 2 job codes during my time, it is in my opinion based on your past posts that you must have been an absolutely terrible manager. I have yet to meet a manager that would complain anymore then you have. I can't believe how much you complain about getting a few carts every now and then. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you were fired or just stormed out one day. I would've been the first to kick your butt right out the door.

Hey, since nobody has commented on the Maryland/DC area, I picked up a copy today at the Target at the Weaton Plaza in MD near Silver Spring.

They had 3 copies left...

Though they told me I had to be 99 years old to buy the game. Yes, they almost told me I was underage and refused the purchase. I had to make a scene before they'd override it!

I got it about an hour ago at target in Roanoke. The computer at checkout said, you must be older than 99 to purchase this product. As for the game, it is awesome.

CA CHING! Went to Target last night in Manchester, CT and got mine. In fact, I saw SFNE Freak there getting his (he told me about it!)
for those in the Chicago burbs:

The Target store on North Ave at the corner of 9th Ave in Melrose Park has plenty of titles in stock... just got mine, and it's installing as I type. :)

Bought our copy on my lunch break at a Target on n. Lindbergh in north St. Louis county. Haven't gotten it loaded yet but will before the evening is over!
