"I wanna Pop... I wan-na Shas-Ta!"
Most of my point, besides the quick quip about preference coming down to citric acid, was more the dominance and superiority of Pepsi over Coke. If Coke were better, wouldn't there be more copycats of it instead of Pepsi?
Or does it come down to the fact that a large majority of people who drink soda just flat out don't care, and since they don't care, why not copy the one that tastes better to more people to try and woo the few who do? (after doing blind taste tests, etc.)

Why not go with Royal Crown? (aka "RC Cola") :)
You beat me to it, being from PA, I'm a big fan of RC Cola, It's just a shame that I can only have it alot when I go to Knoebels and that area, but it is good stuff.

Seriously, new owners or not, I highly doubt they'd take out coke machines unless they were replacing them with new Coke machines or are going to Pepsi. Contract or no contract...there's always a way out. It's just how bad you want out and how much you're willing to pay.

Personally, I'm hooked on Aspartame, so I'm a Diet Coke fan...just for the taste of it! ;)
I'm hoping that Paramount sticks around in spirit....always felt like more of a "guest" at the old PPs than at CFs. Hard to really pinpoint, but it just felt like PPs had my Diet Coke ice cold and right where I needed a drink stand. At CF parks, it was more like they were a bit warmer, a little harder to find, and I had to settle for Diet Pepsi sometimes. Does that make sense?

As far as I can tell they have no updated the maps yet and so what you are seeing is what we are all seeing P18.

IIRC, and I couldn't find a source to save my BUTT..Pepsi uses more orange in their citric acid mix, and Coke uses more lemon. They both have citric acid.
Only in their "with Lemon" soda, gator. :)
Unless they changed their formula to include citric acid in the past couple of years, the last time I looked at an ingredient label for Coke it had no mention of Citric Acid. I actually compared labels one day a couple years ago, believe it or not. Unfortunately, I do not have a single coke can/bottle/etc. in my house to go check and type it in for you now. :)
Edit: I think I should point out that 'citric acid' has it's own taste. There's no such thing as "Orange Citric Acid" and "Lemon Citric Acid" - those are other flavors that are in there to affect taste in addition to any citric acid that may be present. (the good ol' "natural and artificial flavors" ingredient)

Generally, I go with "the maximum amount your body can tolerate without developing a fatal cardiac arrhythmia." But that's just me. Whatever it takes to get you through the day. :)

My Diet Coke label sure says citric acid...
Diet Coke has it, but plain old Coke doesn't include citric acid.
As for seeing coke until 2012 in the Paramount Parks? That's unfortunate, IMO... obviously, YMMV. At least there's light at the end of the tunnel! :)

Coke better not stay... God that's some nasty stuff.
Got to agree with that!!! :)
Not that I am apt to buy any soda when I'm at an amusement park (my "free" Pepsi is iin the cooler in the car) but if I have to, or it's Holiday World, I would much rather have Pepsi.
