Adding URL's in chrome

When using the Chrome browser, I can't see the little taskbar for formatting in the response box.

When I responded to a thread to add a link recently, I had to open up IE to do it. Then I remembered why I quit using IE, as the page loaded painfully slow (comparatively, that is.)

The format in straight text is:

{url="http://whatever"}some text{/url}

...but replace the curly braces with square brackets. Or you can just paste in an entire URL and it will parse it and trim it.

Chrome didn't exist when this code base was written. It'll work fine in v9, as I'm using someone else's rich text editor for that.

Ok. I actually always do the manual html tags for bold and italics, but didn't know how to link a url with different text. That'll work. Thanks.

Hi

Also, and just as a test, the link within the {url=www.somelink.com}url tags{/url} doesn't have to be in quotes. See?

Huh. Don't even know my own code. :) I mean, the newer code works that way, but didn't know about this.
