Activities comparable to the thrill of coasters

Jumping off my roof onto my pool is extreme as you can get at my house...Although we have found a deep waterhole on this trail with 15+ft high rock walls...

I know sex could be an innapropriate answer but it is scientificly correct-sort of.  If you have the big roller coaster book by David Bennet, you can pull it out and look up the quote.  It is on page 66.

So is this where the 'Bigger isn't always better" debate comes in?
Also, I thought that quote was on page 69.

While I've never done it, I would love to go to one of my favorite band's concerts.  I know that it would be a truly awesome experience.  Seeing as how enough fun belting out songs while listening to them on my sweet computer speakers, I know it would be sweet to go to a concert.

I alos LOVE doing MUN.  While it doesn't give me a rush, it sure is a great way to pass the winter by!  MUN(Model United Nations) is an extracurricular activity in which you simulate the real UN.  Each person assumes the role of a country and you debate on certain topics, and how to solve certain problems.  Just a briefing.  You can IM or E-Mail if you are curious.

Please disregard anything said by me that is incomprehensible, incoherent, or just dumb. I am and will be drained from the arduous school year, thank you!

Running a cross country race in the rain/hail, in forty degree weather, slipping in mudd and still getting a good place! (just got back from that- boy do i love the weather in New York!).  Seiously, i find running to be exhilirating ( i know that sounds corn ballish) and also skiing.

"who needs drugs when you have coasters...they're like a natural high"
For me its playing football in front of thousands of people and making a big play.  Not thats a rush that is unimaginable.  Anybody Agree?

Vertigo is pretty good.  A sky coaster is alright.  I'm waiting to go sky diving now.
Almost getting yourself killed! I have done it twice now. once I was climbing around some rocks, I donlt knwo if any one here is familiar with natural chimneys in viginia I climbed to the top only to realike the spire I climed was free standing and not atacked to the mountain, I had to jump acros a 5 foot span and 3 feet down to get to a tower that was conected to the mountain it wa sa good 80 feet down between the two towers so i would have pprished or severly injured. I made the leap and it was ver much a rush. and nothing beats that to this day.

All at once the ghosts come back reeling you in now.
SNOWBOARDING!!!!
Surfing!!  Getting that feeling of standing up, being on top of the world, carving the wave...ahhh...its equal to the rush of coasters if not more.

Front row all day at Ozzfest, capped off by witnessing the legendary Black Sabbath. Definitely up there with the best coasters on earth.
Sex
The things I used to do that compare to the thrill of a good coaster.....nearly got me killed.   I did a lot of unsafe things in the search of the ultimate thrill.  The final stunt was a short but treacherous vertical free-climb at the base of Twin Falls in Snoqualmie, Washington.  It was very wet due to the spray from the waterfall.  The climb was fine, but when I started to make my descent, a landslide forced me off a cliff.  I fell 30ft straight down onto rocks.  I purposely passed out before I hit the ground due to the fact that I was POSITIVE I wouldn't survive.....and that it would be very messy.  I think passing out saved my life, because my body went limp, and when I hit the rocks, my friend said he saw me bounce almost 5ft into the air and into the river.  He thought I was dead for sure, but when he pulled me out, I got up and started running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.  I lost some teeth, but only spent a couple days in the hospital.  I'm still sore, 4 years later, but happy to be alive, for sure.
I think I'll stick to coasters from now on.

I ski and Snowboard and flying down a trail at 40+MPH is just as if not more thrilling than a coaster imo.

Playing Devil May Cry on the PS2 for the first time today. That game is awesome. It was an extreme thrill to open the case and pop it into my PS2!

LOL! I am also in MUN here in North Carolina. We were planning to go to the national conference at the UN building in New York, but that was cancelled due to obvious reasons. We will probably go to 3 college conferences.

I play Paintball tournaments with a team in the C.P.S.A (Chicago Land paintball sports assoc.) We travel around the chicago area playing tournaments.  Huge adreneline rush!
One thing I love that isn't coasters is: BIKING!!!

If you're flying down a hill at who knows how fast, with the wind rushing against you... Well, that's about as close as you can get without a coaster.

But, in general, coasters really are a category of their own... I don't like it when I hear, "It's like a dragracer taking off, then it's like a space shuttle going up, then it's like being in space at the top, then it's like flying like Superman coming down, then it's like being in a fighter jet leveling out..."

Coasters are completely unique. You can't recreate a coaster with anything but, well, a coaster.

And, if we're talking about other RIDES than coasters, all I can say is:

S&S Space Shots!!!!!
