Accessing Coasterbuzz issues

I am unable to access Coasterbuzz from my home PC. I have no problem from accessing it from work though. Anyone else having this problem, not being able to access the site at all?

Do you have a pop up blocker on your pc? Are you getting any kind of error when trying to access the page? What happens when you click on go?

Thanks,
DMC

I get the user unauthorized access to web page error, or something along those lines. I am a member of coasterbuzz, so Im not worried about Pop Ups.

Same here...I've been getting those same error messages as well.

It reads "you are unauthorized to view this page" sometimes this happens to me when I first log onto the homepage, other times it happens whenever I'm trying to access a category on the boards.

For example I can get on the RCT forum just fine but when I try to go to either forum home or general buzz I get that error message stating that I'm not authorized to even view the page let alone post in it.

So just what's causing this & how can the problem be solved? *** Edited 12/12/2003 5:00:52 PM UTC by BATWING FAN SFA***

IP blocks are not page-specific. If you're using AOL, that's probably the source of your problem.

No AOL here. I go through Optimum Online.

Jeff do you need IE6 for Coasterbuzz to function propertly?

Thanks,

Nope. It'll work in any modern browser. I've tried them all (except Safari on the Mac).

I have AOL and I can't get into any of the forums using it without getting that message. It works fine on IE6 though, so no big deal.

A few of us had that message show up and Jeff seemed confused by the mails I sent, but if you logoff and then log back on, the message will go away. It seems that the old autologin cookies are not compatible with the updates to the site, so if you clear the cookies and log in again to create a new one, it will be just fine.
Workin fine for me, I use both AOL and IE6.
FYI, I just tried it on my MacOSX box, and:

Looks fine on Safari, except when you log in, it pops up a dialog box saying it can't redirect to URLs starting with "null:". But it logs you in anyway, so the next thing you click on, you're good to go.

Internet Explorer 5.2 does a similar thing, except you get IIS's "Object moved here" page displayed; click on that and again you're good to go.

The "Logout | Your Account" text is left-justified instead of right-justified in that cell in Safari (it's fine on IE5.2), but that's not exactly a major problem :) It's probably one of the zillion CSS-related bugs in just about every browser -- it really is a huge PITA to get things to look consistent across all browsers and platforms. Especially when you have Netscape 4 users to worry about. Ugh. Even Opera 6's bugs aren't THAT bad.

Actually this site doesn't use a lot of CSS for layout (fonts and colors only). But that doesn't mean that old-fashioned table layout is different in every browser.
