Also, my buddy said there is a pothole somewhere around the 2nd or 3rd hill. I think it's in one of the crests of those hills. Anybody know anything about that one? *** Edited 12/9/2007 5:19:12 AM UTC by Craig the Coaster Freak***

For the record, I believe that at some point, that slight reverse baking before the 1st 90 degree turn, is gonna need some serious work. That spot, to me, is one of the areas that is also poorly designed.
Yet, due to the brainwashing of the masses, it was named #1 on Mitches poll again this year. I just don't get it.

And the retracking nightmares begin. Yeah, I'm well aware of the first retracking (Last year) of that, poorly designed, hop right before the last 90 degree banked turn, but to start picking apart even more retracking issues after just 2 seasons............Well, I never saw this coming.

Why dont you get it? It is someones survey that they designed for people express their opinions on what is important with regards to coasters. Just because you dont agree with them doesnt mean they are wrong.
The trains are horrible, with that extemely poor designed, hollowed out concrete seat divider that has zero give.
The out section of the ride was one of two true good parts of the ride. Now, by someone's own account in this thread, the second hill has a pothole, so there goes some of the integrity of the only good part of the ride.
The only other section that does anything for me that doesn't equal discomfort, and pain is the triple down, which is frickin amazing. However, with the rest of the ride riding the way it does, the triple down gets lost in all of the other crap.

The only one labeling the retracking as a "nightmare" is you.
It's a massive (beyond massive) wooden coaster with insanely sustained speeds and tracking that is as aggressive as anything ever built. The effort to maintain Voyage should be seen as a good thing, not a "nightmare" but I guess with comments like "Yet, due to the brainwashing of the masses" your comments are totally agenda driven anyway.
Yet another example of how pitifully low some enthusiast's standards have become. We're so used to some parks letting their wooden coasters delve into deplorable conditions, when have a park that actually does a good job of taking care of them it's some sort of bad thing.
Maybe we'd be better of with a Six Flags maintinence team at Holiday World. :)
BTW, name me one GCII that has been retracked, or a thread in which somebody has brought the neccesity of a GCII to be retracked.
How's Boulderdash running after it's retracking? Who took care of that work.........That's right GCII. *** Edited 12/9/2007 3:10:57 PM UTC by Coasterphan*** *** Edited 12/9/2007 3:17:33 PM UTC by Coasterphan***

I've already addressed something similar in another thread but "has this coaster been retracked?" alone doesn't effect most people's ratings, nor should it. It's something that isn't directly related to the quality of the ride experience. I commend GCIs for being high quality products that seem to require a low amount of maintaining but that doesn't mean they're by default more fun than other coasters.
No matter what it's all about subjective opinions. You can come up with elaborate scenarios (We've all been brainwashed by the Voyage! Oh my!) to explain why some people like one coaster and others like another but I'm not sure why just accepting people's differences in taste isn't more reasonable.
Isn't this coaster enthusiast etiquette 101?
For the record, Kentucky Rumbler is the #1 woodie in the states. *** Edited 12/9/2007 3:59:33 PM UTC by Coasterphan***
That's just sounds all wrong, but that's the way I plan to state my right, or wrong opinion on that subject.
Pardon me, wrong thread for this response, but it does show in some part that I'm not 100% anti Voyage, just about 92.375%. *** Edited 12/9/2007 4:16:25 PM UTC by Coasterphan***

Your right, all GCI's are amazing! Gwazi is smooth as glass! And Wildcat is just wonderful! Infact, lets just all bow down to GCI!
But it's a good thing every one of your posts aren't biased..... ;)

For the record, you just named the 2 GCII's that have had the worst lives, up to this point in time with PTC trains.
Till the end of existence, I'll will always believe that PTC trains flatout do not work at all on GCII coasters. *** Edited 12/9/2007 4:57:40 PM UTC by Coasterphan***
