A couple CBGames suggestions

I've been browsing through CBGames a lot lately, and I've come up with the following suggestions:

1) When someone downloads a file, I would like to see it go back up to the top, like when someone comments to a thread. This way, if several files get uploaded the day after me, mine won't disappear so easily.

2) Show who downloads the files. This way, we can tell who's downloaded our projects, not just the number, and who is rating rides based on screenshots (for the people who really care about that)

3) A limit to how many uploads you can have a week. Several people have been clogging up CBGames with their own downloads. Last monday, I uploaded the Dania Beach Hurricane into the RCTII track section, and since then, 20 files have been uploaded by 10 different users, 5 of which were by one user alone. If maybe there was a limit to 5 or 6 uploads a week, it wouldn't be clogged so much anymore.

Other than that, I think CBGames is great!

i like the first one but the others dont seem necessary. the only problem with number one is that new files might not be given a fair enough chance to be seen. i think that users should have the option of sorting by popularity rather than having it the standard

Yeah, I'd like to see different methods for sorting files on the main list. (newest, by rating, by member, etc) - but that's just pretty wishing.

Roller coaster type could be another way of sorting files, but too many people aren't smart enough to understand that a corkscrew coaster is different from a looping coaster.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, MarimbaGuy - it'd be another bit of info you'd have to input (or more likely select from a dropdown menu)

Neat features but it'd probably be a hassle to incorporate these search (sort?) features into an already working system. No reason to fix what isn't broken.

Ummm...about the games, can we require a screenshot? Because this one guy, not mentioning a name, has clogged the site with around 20 files in the rct2 track section wthout screenshots. Its a mess overthere right now...
If you really want your new coaster to get recognition, delete it and re-upload the coaster to get it to the top of the list.

B&M ROCKS - I know what you mean. Yesterday, I uploaded a coaster with screenshot that I worked hard on. I checked back about an hour later, and the whole thing was clogged with this one guy who uploaded about 15 files without screenshots. My upload was off the list of the first page in about 2 hours.
Well, now they are all deleted. Thanks Jeff...i'm assuming it was you :)

Even though I am not a club member here I do like the rule on the upload limits. I think the Limit should be 5 files a day while Club Members can upload as many as they want to. I belive that Club Members know good enough not to abuse the system.

I can't decide is it BGW or SDC/CC.

That's not a half-bad idea.

Seriously though, who would upload more then 5 files a day? If you make that many in such a short time, then they cant really be that good. Why not put a little more time into your coasters. Remmeber its quality over quantity.

But anyway, i dont even think you would need a rule, I think just a simple announcement asking people not to upload more than 5 files a day would be sufficient.
