60 Minute Trial Of Full RCT3

DL it right here.

I'm sure more than a few of you are interested ;)

I believe it has a 60 minute time limit on playing.

just wondering gonch were did you get this and if anyone down loaded please tell me how it was.

TTD was built, TTD was broke, TTD is alive.

I believe it's available at Gamespot.

However, someone was nice enough to set up a direct link so you don't have to jump through all the hoops of downloading at Gamespot.

It's the full game with a 60 minute playing limit attached. After an hour, it's not useable any more.

Cool stuff. But I can see how the approach to the game is going to be very different, yet familiar.

With all new things, I'm not sure I really like it, but after getting used to it I'm sure it'll be the same old same old.

So far the biggest thing I'm missing are the water jet pieces that you could place in water to create your own custom fountain looks. Nothin like that this time around :(

ok thank you very much

They're also saying on "forums-that-must-not-be-named" that you can turn this trial into the full version?

I'm very tempted to do this since I haven't pre-ordered or anything. Would definitly save me a trip to a store this week. The only thing that worries me is not having a physical copy of the game. What if your hard drive crashes? and does this mean the game doesn't require the CD to play?

Hmmm...Hopefully this 60min will be enough to hold me till I can get a physical copy.

Sure Greg, go ahead and steal a copy of RCT3 illegally. Sounds like a great idea. While your at it, why don't you stand up on a roller coaster.
SFGAdvlover...You should know what you are talking about before you open your mouth. It's a TRIAL version of the game that expires after one hour. However you can turn it into a full game by BUYING it. Legally. It's the whole point of the trial.

Man I hate it when people assume things.

And Greg...that's a good point about the CD. At least this version won't require one I guess. Interesting option to avoid the CD thing.

As for not having one for backup, that is also a good point though a lot of times you can burn the file to CD as long as you remember/write down your particular code so you can install it again should something happen. Also some places will keep your info on file and let you download it again. Though I don't know if that's the case this time. *** Edited 10/27/2004 12:55:09 AM UTC by Coasterbuf***

So are you saying it's a register-to-unlock game?

Alright, the trial ran so smoothly I just had to play more than 60min and bought the game online.

I was hesitant at first, but after reading the disclaimers and pop-up windows during the transaction, it seems very legit. I got a liscense code sent to my email in case I ever need to install another copy (i.e. in case of loss on my system)

My other concern was the game running completely on my system and not from a CD. The game runs WAY better than either demos did.

So it's cool and the game turned out GREAT!

Love the 4-D. Have to get a new video card. 15 fps blows.

Also, what's with the roundish teardrop loops? I mean, the general level of detail in the game is amazing, but why did they make the vertical loops so squat?

Did anyone else have issues getting trains to normal lengths?

For anyone who played the full version here...

...did you manage to catch some very bad inaccuracies of real-world rides?

Case in example, which is just very unrealistic... the S&S shot tower. I set it to 145mph launch, and it doesn't even reach 250' in the air. That's the max you can set it, and you can't even get the tower to reach 300', which means you cannot recreate a real-world Power Tower shot.
I don't understand how you can launch up at 145mph & not even reach 250 feet? Plus the bounce is very blunt & the ride has no sound effects. I was kind of disappointed with that.

The log ride sounds a lot like a rollercoaster.

Although I'm being nit-pickey, and won't detract me from enjoying the game when I pick up the full copy... some of these inaccuracies are a litle annoying, and I know I'm going to run into a few more. I'm just trying the rides I was dying to check out when I saw them not available in the demo.

I get mixed up with the various tower rides, but I did try one (4 seats per side) and it had *no sound* at all which surprised me. Not even some air compression lift off sound. Maybe my sound card? Yep, one of the water rides sounded like a coaster, and there is no water sounds at all (splash sound effects). Those were my stand-out disappointments, most everything else was superb, though! I like the Strata and 4D quite a bit, but not so much the pipeline. *** Edited 10/27/2004 2:45:46 AM UTC by JCat***

I thought Power Tower's drop and shot distance was only 240'...There is a sign saying "go this way to shoot 240', this way to drop 240'" or something. Thats the tallest S&S drop, so isn't that correct specs?

Does the intensity atleast come out better thist imewith the S&S?

Power Tower's drop isn't the tallest. Supreme Scream at Knott's is 254'. There's probably taller one somewhere else.

...maybe so... but if you're launched at 145mph, you're bound to go a LOT higher than 250' that is indicated in RCT3, which is just wrong on so many levels!

...main reason: You can build the tower so much higher... 300, 400 feet tall... but the max launch only takes you 250', so it's not only a little unrealistic, it also just doesn't give you much leeway for customization (not to mention, you can't launch a car way off the top of the tower like the old RCT!).

Had I not already pre-ordered and had that order not already shipped, I'd have bought off the trial in an instant.

Oh, well. I'm not a little crack monkey, I can wait until tomorrow afternoon...

...unless the Fed Ex guy goes to the wrong house...again :(

Overall impression - lots to like and be happy about, just as much to hate and be annoyed by.

I actually like this version more than the demo. In the demo I was getting 5 fps. in this version i'm getting 15-20, not great, but much much better
For anyone thinking about registering the trial version. It was a great idea at first and I followed through with it. However, a piece of the disclaimer I didn't notice before I received the confirmation email....You're only given permission to reinstall the game 3 times without charge. There's no way in hell I'm putting anymore money into this game just for a reinstallation. Luckily they have a 48hr non-satisfied refund and I quickly submitted that this morning. Guess I'll go hunt down a copy this week.

Anyway, I still played my internet registered version for a couple hours last night and I'm very impressed. The only question I have is "What in the world is up with that mine shaft ride???" Not exactly what I was expecting. That's really the only disappointment I have so far. I'll probably be disappointed again later when I find out you still can't have separate loading/unloading stations. Has anyone checked this out yet???

Thanks, Greg, for that warning about the three install rule. I downloaded the trial last night and was thinking of purchasing online, but now I will just find a copy elsewhere. Really appreciate the heads up.

Certain victory.

My copy just arrived via Fed Ex.

So let me ask again -

How soon before we can upload RCT3 files, Jeff?
