That's why I nominated her, Gator! Even when the Board is Mooshless, Chrisless, Gatorless, Nasailess, and mostly Bassless, Dawn is fighting the good fight (along with Magnum). Rock on, Dawn!

Bass: did you leave one of your fellow CPG members off the list? I was under the impression that nasai was on the team too. ;)

You know, when I typed that at work today, something looked wrong with it, but I could not for the life of me figure it out. Glad someone's on the case!

bill, saying April 18, '04 is just too soon....at least I get to see *God* first....I'm going towards the light of Coaster...;)

You guys kill me. The GP is having a great time on X. I do believe that besides the extended closing of X over the summer, Xcelerator has had just as much if not more down time than X. I guess you can expect the same problems on Dragster. Take it from someone that lives in SoCal...the problems with X seem much more significant if you're 2000 miles away and never had a chance to ride. Otherwise, you'd realize that the chance to ride X is worth all the down time, at least for me and many others.

Here's what I don't get. On X they have a large tubular strongbacl, two tubular running rails and two tubular X rails. That's five tubes!

What would make more sense, at least to me, is to use a triangular truss, kinda like intamin. I'm sure they don't have a patent on truss track, because a truss is such a basic engineering structure. Anyway, this truss track would be inverted from your normal intamin style, with the flat bits on the bottom. The depth of the truss makes your (single) X rail. The rotation of the two sides is locked together (single shaft for all 4 seats) and driven from the truss in the center. That's only three tubes. The depth would of course go from some minimum structural depth to a couple feet more, whatver was needed by the rotations. it just seems like this wuld be MUCH easier to build, and cheaper to boot. I mean, honestly, why can the sides rotate independently? If they can't why are there two X rails?

Coma

Thought about it some more, and your X rail would have to be oblong, or double, so as to get upstops under it. So edit tat to be box track. Everything else holds

dawnmarie, they didn't have a setting for an *optimistic Sadist*....otherwise, I'd have been all set! I mean, c'mon who ELSE rides Psyclone just to enjoy the pain...;) I was even thinking of buying stock in Gerstlauer, lol....

Believe me, I'll fight for my right....to par-tay! Beastie Boys meet Bart Simpson....:)

bill, hoping to be around for SRM1K....shoot, I'm aiming for 3004!

Bill and the *Optimistic Sadists* That is definitely a band name. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) Psyclone wasn't running on my recent trip to CA.
