4th Dimension Coasters

Does anyone know any information on whether or not Arrow is trying to sell their 4th dimension coasters. I find it odd that with X's popularity there are no others built yet.

When will I die? How will I die? Does anyone know what day of the week it will be when I die?

Im asking if anyone knows any information, Im not asking for a prediction of the future jackass

MagnumForce: I know. Raging Bullet: there are already a handful of 4-D's in undisclosed locations throughout the country. Only CB paying members, the CPG, and the kids in 'Playa's van have access to it.

It's a very cold day in the midwest.

given the numerous problems X had, i would doubt that we will see a 4D in the near future. perhaps is S&S (who now own arrow) can do something to improve the design flaws and convince a park to invest in one, then we could see another 4D, but i wouldnt put much money on it

You were asking for predictions of the future before you edited your post to reflect otherwise.

And why do we need to resort to name calling? That is just juvenile and unnecesary.

To answer your new question which I gladly will.

I hear S&S/Arrow are doing a lot of work on the 4d's involving much shorter trains and a revised X rail location. Unfortunatly with X's problems I don't know if another park wants to be the Guniea Pig so to speak.

Edit:

You know Dawn? Oh man please do tell. I want to know if my deathclock.com prediction is right. I need to start planning the rest of my life right now.

BTW I have heard from an unverified source that Son of M:TR will be a TA2K 4d ;)

RagingBullet: editing your original post with a rephrased question was an excellent way to respond to the smarta*s comments you initially received. Good move. The name calling, not so nice but we'll all deal.

MagnumForce: sorry, I don't actually know, that was my God complex talking. It's off now. The M:TR jokes (while still all funny) are becoming increasingly complicated. Maybe I'm just naive, but I can't even imagine *what* ('Gator approved use of asterisks) you are talking about, and yet, I'm pretty sure I don't want an explanation either. ;)

Well its better that way anyway Dawn.

But suffice to say It involves a Thrust Air 2000 Version of the 4d.

....On second thought maybe thrust and M:TR should not be put together at all.

Oh the Humanity!

hey...what did I say about NOT needing an explanation? ;)
I felt that some clarification was needed ;)

Why would paying members of CoasterBuzz have access to information on future 4th Dimension coasters?

Well S&S Arrow doesn't need another park to buy and build one, Stan could build one in his very own Family Fun Center(FFC). Then when the new modified 4D coaster proves successful in Stans FFC, different parks chain can then decide on puchashing one. Even if the FFC doesn't happen, i'm sure when the Modified 4D is ready he will still buld a prototype at his site in Utah. Heck hes built every other prototype hes came up with at his site, why not a 4D.

...it IS nice to know that even when I'm not *on patrol* that things here at the BatCave are well taken care of.....

I *believe* there will be more 4-d coasters, but not in '03, and SFI has picked up all the coasters that S&S can produce in the near future....;). See sig for details....

I hear a lot of talk about prototypes... they're seldom built because it costs just as much to build a "tester"/prototype as it does the same ride at a park.

IMO I think we'll start seeing more 4D coasters pop up in 2005 rather than 2004. For some reason, to me, 2005 makes more sense considering some of the teething issues that X had initially. Regardless of when the next one pops up, my guess says that if and when it does show up, it's probably going to spend a lot of time in testing in order to make sure that everything works. It probably won't spend as much time in testing as let's say X; but I'm sure that it'll spend more time being tested than your average coaster. I'm sure most of the issues were worked out on X anyway.

Oh, I think someone here mentioned that X's 3rd train valleied during it's first test run. So I'm wondering if it was that 3rd train (undergoing another test) that vallied or one of the other two operational trains? I'm not even going to ask about 3 train ops on X....that'll just happen when it happens.

see you next season!

Who really cares? Are you that bored? I'm not saying this to start trouble or anything. I'm just asking, most people know that they probably won't see another 4-d any time soon. Secondly, if you did know what would it get you? It would just make you anticipate it and drag out more boring overdiscussed topics like this one. I can remember at least 6 threads discussing the same thing. Just let it go and wait. Bide your time with other things then asking the same redundant question over and over and over. It's just my honest oppinion but I don't think anyone really has any intrest in this topic and those infamous thread hijackers have already used their inside joke "boxcutters" to hijack another boring thread. Where's cplaya when you need him?
