I don't think anyone can "force" a state to set a lower speed limit.

The feds may not be able to "force" a lower speed limit....but I sure recall them lowering everyone's (read: Louisiana) drinking age to 21 just by shutting off the flow of federal highway funds...sometimes creative arm-twisting on the federal level does make a differemce.....and IIRC, there was some "argument" about setting a max speed on a nationwide level....but I'm not at all sure what became of it.

A 400 foot coaster could be a Quadra-Coaster.

SFNE Dude, 400 feet will be known as the terra coaster, as mentioned many times before.

According to who? That's just marketing rubbish. It means nothing.

It depends on what some people use as names for coaster types. Anything over 200ft is considered either a hyper or a mega, but yet some companies consider a coaster just under 200ft a mega as well. But basically, the coaster terms are following computer terms. Just like megabye, gigabyte, terabyte. Now we got megacoaster, gigacoaster, teracoaster. At least its better than using big, bigger, and biggest coasters.

Jeff knows something, doesn't he? Like how he laughed when it was said that the footers at CP were nothing...

You still have to ask that question?

What was with the cow though? Made me laugh hysterically but I don't get teh significance ...

Moooooooo

PittDesigner, I *believe* Jeff got caught up in the old children's game of see'n'say....

the rooster says: cock-a-doodle-doo

the hen says: cluck cluck

the cow says: mooo

OK, so I'm NOT a farm kid....obvious, huh...;)....but I do remember the toy....

Weren't the plans already finished on the 400+ footer in Germany that was canceled? That's the 400 foot coaster that's supposedly coming to the USA. Assuming I'm correct (and that's what I seem to remeber reading around here) then the 400 foot coaster is here - it just needs a buyer with a home to build it in.

Good, rollergator knows what I was talking about. I figured with all of the quotes, I had to throw that in there.

And I never had one of those damn things either. All the other kids did. Ah the trials of a poor inner-city kid.

There are just so many factors that can stop a park from getting a Terra coaster. Airports, space, and definitly money.

Yes none of which CP has a problem with. I still don't get the cow thing - either before my time or I'm totally dense.

Watch the Daily show on Comedy Central.. The credits at the end have a cow on it.. and it says "The cow says: MOOOOOOOO" Its the production company's logo I think.

funny thing Chris....myself and PittDesigner actually credit "The Daily Show" in our sigs....Personally, I wouldn't trust anyone else to give me *the news*....;)

Hey Jeff - in a recent topic that was closed, you said: "As Mario said, Versus." or something like that.... was that a Mario Kart 64 reference?

Could be the best multiplayer game ever....

He let the contents of the bottle do the thinking; can't shake the devil's hand and say you're only kidding.

Den--A judge ruled Montana's "Reasonable and Prudent" speed limit law was too vague, and this forced them to set the limit.

Correction--the "judge" was the Montana supreme court.

A 400' Toboggan wouldn't need a very big foot print. I think S&S is working on an air driven one using an incomplete purple G-train they picked up recently as surplus. Also in the works is a wheel driven govener/generator to provide electricity in an emergency. Track length would be about 3000'.

I believe CP will get a 400ft tall coaster, but when, I am not sure. However, I highly doubt it will be something with a lift, considering the already have MF and Magnum which both continue to make the top ten.

HHHmm I am guessing its going to be 420 Ft and its going to keep it two smaller sisters company

You really need to get some more BRAN in your diet

I remember Mario's "versus" voice......MarioKart on N64 was an awesome game..........but Donkey Kong is definetly one of the best games ever invented.

I wonder if the new coaster (if it happens) will have a name that can be converted to an old woman's name..........Millie, Maggie......
