Good one ST! Your right. Superman does look taller because of it's location. I can say having ridden ToT, Superman is slightly faster, although I'm sure Dreamworld would disagree, they don't use the max speed on ToT.

I don't understand why most people can't call Superman a non-traditional coaster like I do and end the debate. Just like S:UE, boomerang, invertigo, Speed:the ride and Mr. Freeze. These are all a new breed of coaster that don't complete a circuit, yet give you brief rollercoaster sensations. The amount of elements should mean nothing. Hypercoasters feature less elements than more traditional loopers, does that make them less than those coasters? Sorry Jeff, I know you hate this thread, but I had to say it. :)
No one is goign to reach 400 or even 500 feet. They could maybe do it if it was going down a mountain side or something.
The way alot of the TV shows describe Superman is a closed circuit coaster, where as MF would be called a full circuit coaster. So MF is the worlds largest full circuit, where as Superman at Magic Mountain is the worlds largest closed circuit coaster. I think it makes sense.
Unfortunately, as of this morning, MF is no longer the world's tallest coaster. So, what do you say we all hop a flight to Japan!!!

Well how about we all look at some history.
In the early days, John Allen built "screamin eagle" and his other woodies which he dubbed "mega coasters". This meant over 100 feet.
Arrow built the first 200+ footer, dubbed hypers.
Intamin broke the 300+ foot barrier, and got the gift of naming it giga.
I think of it in these terms, so whoever builds the first "ultra" will name it.
