They have completed alot of concrete work, and the quene is starting to take shape. At this point it is hard to tell if they are going to make the opening day for Storm Runner. As long as the weather doesn't get too bad they should be able to make it.
They are constructing a path behind Sidewinder to connect to the path behind the rapids. That only make sense since this area of the park is going to be packed now.
As soon as they start testing I will be taking video of the runs, and that will be posted at www.xtremecoasters.com My pictures will also be moving over to there.
Those of you that have already checked out previous condtruction updates know the drill. http://www.dotphoto.com/Gallery.asp?Cat=47
The new pics are in the Storm Runner gallery on the 2nd page. Enjoy!

Thanks for the update!

Yes the trains have Stadium seating. To me the trains look like a cross between hyper/giga trains and TTD's trains with OTSR. I like the colors. I just can't wait to ride.

Those restraints looks much thinner on the upper part...
The top of the head rest also extend further above the pivot point of the OTSR by about 6" and is concave to gently cradel the back of the head eliminating the need for those ugly head rests they added to Xcelerator after it opened (http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1574.htm?Picture=10), or the head rests that were on TTD since it opened (http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1896.htm?Picture=52). By the way, the reason they are there is to prevent whiplash on the neck during the launch. *** Edited 4/7/2004 5:42:16 PM UTC by Coaster Lover***

Looks good to me. What exactly is ugly about these trains? The fact that they look different? The horror.
I was thinking the same thing. Trains look good. Its true that everybody was spoiled by the overtheming done by CF.
