3 SF parks open tomorrow, March 10th. Let us know the experience.

SFOG, SFFT, and SFOT open their 2007 season tomorrow, March 10th.

If you plan on visiting one of these parks tomorrow, let all of us know what the new experiences are whether it be customer service, ride uptime, new sponsors, new characters, etc.

Let the trip reports fly this weekend. :)

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

SDC opens next Thursday, though the new area does not open until April 5th.
I'm going to SFoT tomorrow, so I'll make sure to let y'all know how it goes.

Eh...the three SF parks opening are three that are well run to begin with. I wouldn't expect anything drastically different but I guess we'll see.
This includes the two originals where the six flags actually mean something.

Err...you mean used to mean something. ;)

LOL, considering that the three parks in question are not exactly *average SF parks*, I'm afraid TRs may not be representative of what we can expect when SFA and SFGAdv open for the season.

Just trying to keep the expectations "realistic"... ;)

They might be representative of what to expect at SFGAm, however. This one is also regarded as one of the "good" Six Flags parks.

Well at least with SFGAdv., we have a good idea of what to expect--Chiller won't be finished just yet, some other areas not finished yet like Wiggles World etc. We've also heard that they have the budget to hire enough staff, they just haven't been able to obtain the staff. Hopefully that's changed in the last few weeks.

SFA is a huge crapshoot since we haven't heard a peep from anyone about the park. The only thing we've heard is that Typhoon Seacoaster might be modified and that was a rumor on Screamscape. So, I think it'll be quite interesting to walk into the park this year.

Maybe they painted Batwing, as I was shocked at how faded the colors had become.

Several new shows and a new stage for 2007 at SFA. The park is making several other changes which they haven't elaborated on for the upcoming season. I'm excited about what I have heard so far.

^Don't forget the changes being made to TSC....along with the name change to Skull Mountain as well.
But we're still not sure exactly when TSC/SM will begin operating again. Hopefully it'll be soon.

Oh, well, the parks are opening, and the season has begun.

Are they doing like last year and giving out "free" park maps at the parking booths, and are park maps for sale in the gift shops?

Wow, I'm digging the facade.

Hey everyone,

I went to SFOT yesterday and it was great. The weather was perfect and there wasn't a big crowd like I thought there would be. When I went around 1:00pm there were 3 rides down (Shock Wave, Crazy Legs, & Splash Down). I stayed until closing time (10:00pm). Lines weren't too long and the park looked clean. The only thing that I would complain about is the staff. All the "staff", which btw seemed like all high school kids, were messing up the fun of the park a little bit. Most of them were I guess tired and were moving very slow in some of the shops and stands. Others were having an "I could care less" attitude and barely doing there jobs. All the others were either talking to some of there friends or sitting on the park benches doing nothing lol. Not all of them were bad though, but majority was. Other than that there arent any complaints. BTW for any who don't know, Mr. Freeze has a new paint job and runs and looks very nice. I also bought a season pass which I will be using a lot this summer lol. If anyone wants to know more then ask me.

I'm especially digging the video screen of THBS since it has footage from SFA. That's Wild One's turnaround and Typhoon Sea Coaster's second lift in the background and I was there for one of the shows last year.

Hmmm...I wonder if there's any crowd footage with me in it? I'll put Rablat5 up to the task since he's going there soon. *** Edited 3/12/2007 1:05:47 AM UTC by Intamin Fan***

They're acting like that on the first day of the season? Not a good sign.

Yep! Hopefully they'll get better throughout the season though.
ha! if you thought they were bad now, wait until june when the temps are near or over 100 degrees. But hey, you get what you pay for right?
