2010 Platinum Pass.

I was able to use the coupon for a $130 Platinum Pass at WOF last fall.

As I did at KI for the 08 season, but it took A LOT of time and complaining to a manager before they let me use it.

^^ I would suggest you buy your Platinum Pass somewhere other than Dorney. DP Platinum Passes only scan at DP (you have to go through Guest Relations at other parks). A pass from CP, KI, or, KD will scan at all Cedar Fair parks excluding KFB and MIA.

That should not be the case. Dorney uses the same Gate Central system as the rest of the parks. I had no problem using my CP pass there, and reciprocal data sharing should be in place.

I get my PP from DP and it works fine at CP KI and KD.

Da Bears

According to their website, you can purchase a CF Platinum Pass at Dorney Park for $140 this Sunday only (9/13).

Thank you for correcting me. I was last there in 2008 when they still had the old system (I believe Gateway ticketing). I had not heard that they had upgraded to Gate Central.

I think everyone but Michigan's Adventure is on it now. They've got GL's system, I think.

So apparently Cedar Fair Platinum Pass Roulette extends not only to getting into the park but also to whatever kind of deal you might get on the pass.

Anyway, here's my luck so far this season:
Purchased at Cedar Point
Processed at Kings Island

Cedar Point: Works
Kings Island: Works
Worlds of Fun: Works
Great America: Doesn't Work
Gilroy Gardens: Works
Kings Dominion: Works

Last year, I had problems at Knott's Berry Farm and at Carowinds, and for half the season at Cedar Point. So it looks to me like they are gradually getting their act together.

As of last June KBF and KSC were not on Gate Central and any IPAs had to be processed through Guest Relations.

^Knott's is still trying to figure out what the deal is with Radisson and Solace... ;)

"Chaotic" would be a kind way of describing Knott's and anything that could be defined as integration. :)

You can add these to the list:

Carowinds: Works
Canada's Wonderland: Doesn't Work (hasn't on any of my three visits)

I'd definitely agree that things seem to be rolling much smoother with the system (outside of Canada's Wonderland).

Bought my 2009 PP at MIA and it does not work at CP or KI.

My name is Mike, and I'm a coasterholic.

My 2009 PP worked without issue at all the parks we have been to this year.

KI,CP, CWonderland,CW,KD,DP.

My son and I went to Canada's Wonderland last year (2008) and our CP passes worked just fine.

2009 What a great year!

^In my 7 visits to Wonderland last year, my KI PP never worked with parking! Thankfully they knew PP=free parking every time.

That's the one thing that DOESN'T work at Gilroy Gardens. They don't accept Cedar Fair parking passes, but my platinum pass got me in the gate.

And I still bought the stuffed Gil. He kind of looks like a Hershey's Kiss, except he wears sunglasses and is, in fact, a clove of garlic.

Did you get the garlic fries? They're yummy.

We had our first visit to Gilroy just last week, and the CP pass worked fine. (What a great little park, by the way). But what I found strange though, is that they never mention Cedar Fair anywhere in the park or brochures. I know they just inherited the gig with the purchase of Paramont, but you'd think they would at least have a little blurb somewhere.

To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them".

Isn't the landscaping amazing? Very charming. ;)

By the way, Cedar Fair doesn't own the park. They just manage it.

...On the other hand, if you go to Great America (home of the World's Worst Wood Coaster, where Kings Island passes WON'T scan), there are billboards in the entrance plaza suggesting a visit to Gilroy Gardens.
