I rode KR at Rumblefest this year, and it was running faster on opening day than it was over Labor Day weekend last season.
Don't be surprised if you see Troy, and or Thunderbird way up there this year. Especially Thunderbird with ECC's Scandi trip in July. I'll let you know how Troy is, if I happen to be the first one to talk about it.
COME ON JULY 10th!

Remember when Mean Streak made the top ten in some poll?
And Texas Giant. You have to be freakin' nuts.
Steel rollercoaster
It seems is always a toss up between the two american intamins of millennium force and superman ride of steel (SFNE). Even though most who have rode expedition geforce swear by it being as good if not better than both. If i was a voter i would give my nod to millennium over supes, as i liked it more, but whos to say others vote supes.
Wood
Its gonna be a good race, as always. Thunderhead and Voyage probably lead the pack, but you might get el toro in there. Also raven and boulder dash seem to make it alot. It seems more often then not that american coasters top this as well. So Troy and balder will have a hard time cracking the top 5. Although i have heard they are superior coasters in their own right.
Best new ride, i would say right now, that would be maverick in a runaway. But i also thoroughly did enjoy mystery mine, but it was mainly the finale of that ride that just blew me away. Griffon laughable at best, its gonna be on there probably but its not in the other two aboves league of the ones i have rode. Renegade will also get some strong recognition.
Most beautiful, in my opinion that comes down to parks with great scenery, and or natural beauty. It that is the case, i would say of all the places it would probably still be busch gardens europe. But dollywood has got it by natural beauty. *** Edited 7/25/2007 3:30:37 AM UTC by MagnunBarrel***
Resident Arrow Dynamics Whore
I am sure El-Toro would be in the running (prob 2 behind voyage) if it was a fair vote.

5. American Eagle, SFGAmSix Flags really knows how to make 'em.
My alternate for number 5 would be any Chance Toboggan still in use.
Great list!

I'd like to see some of the "lemming" categories change this year - OK, so nothing is going to dislodge Cedar Point or Schlitterbahn, but maybe there could be another park with better landscaping that Busch Gardens Europe? (Gilroy, Efteling...) or maybe there's a package of shows out there to outshine Fiesta? (SDC, Dollywood, something Disney or Universal...). And even with all that Schlitterbahn is, surely there are other waterparks with more lush and creative landscaping. I think the real battle is the new "best seaside park" category - between Santa Cruz BB, Morey's in Wildwood, and Blackpool, I couldn't even guess what would win.
Know what else? OK, so it is a little weird, if not downright seedy, seeing a thank-you ad from a park right across from the page that lists them as a winner - but I hope AT sells a TON of ads for this edition, not to mention a few gazillion subscriptions. That is what it's about, and good for them. *** Edited 7/24/2007 7:25:58 PM UTC by Seahawk & the Wave***
