2005 Is Gonna Rock!

Wow.. most stuff hasn't even been announced yet, but 2005 already looks like it's going to be a great year! So far we've got...

-- "The Happiest Celebration On Earth" which is going to be HUGE! And includes new attractions at almost every Disney theme park

-- The Italian Job attraction that was announced today. Sounds awesome!

-- Hydra: The Revenge. Great new addition to DP and I can't wait to see its layout!

-- Un-announced Rocket Coaster at SFGAdv. Hmm, this could be interesting...

-- Powder Keg at SDC. Another "hmmm" attraction, but it sounds like it could be a winner!

-- SFGAm is getting a waterpark! Cool!

-- Over in Europe, Alton Towers is getting a custom Booster Bike coaster themed to "flying" on a Witche's broom. This also sounds very cool!

So to me, it seems like we're in store for some major new attractions next year. Maybe the parks are doing this to try to pull attention away from the Disney parks next year, seeing as how it will be a huge year for Disney. I know I can't wait! What do you think?

I think that 05 is coming along nicely personally. I'm excited to see what PCar and PKD (yes, even PGA) are doing. Plus I'm sure the Point will do something of moderate size as well.

Next year I might even venutre to the west coast and maybe even world domination, so it could be a great year.

Oh, and don't forget Silver Bullet as well!

Dont Forget Hades, the new coaster at BGT, and Superman at SFM

I'm so done with the rocket coaster fad, but I'm all about pretty much everything else on the horizon. Looks like good times ahead!

The Boom might be over, but look at what we are getting now: Highly themed rides, good quality products from unlikely sources...

It seems that parks are now focusing more on quality than quantity, and the companies that used to be less about quality are stepping things up.

Personally I'm looking forward to the rumored custom terrain world's largest B&M flyer supposedly coming to The Mountain in 2005!
World's largest isn't much when there is only currently four. ;-)
Yes, please don't forget Hades. That is the one that I'm most looking forward to at least. I have not been able to get back there to get new pics for a few weeks, but hopefully I will soon. Avalanche is calling my name. ;)
The rumored 160ft first drop (yup, bigger than even the Vekoma flyers), has my mouth watering, even if it weren't going to be the biggest flyer built to date.
Idlewild's getting a log flume. Should be exciting and adding extra thrills to Hootin' Holler'. :)

Personally..Im looking forward to the new Hyper at SFWOA. By the way. It looks as if CF is trying to buy it out. I'll keep you all updated.

Thanks for the tip, Alizabeth.

Wha attractions exactly are all those good ol Disney parks supposed to be getting?

Disney parks....

WDW: Soarin at Epcot, a copy of the one at DCA. Its will be located in the Land pavillion and will use the old Food Rocks show area for its line and entrance.

Stitch Escape! (replacing Alien Encounter) at WDW will already be open since fall 2004.

Disney MGM Studios is getting a whole new stunt show, different from the Indiana Jones one since its concentrate on Jet Skis, motorcycles and cars. Its not a direct clone of the DLP one, cause the Jetskis only lasted a month or two there before being removed from the show.

DL: A new revamped Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astroblaster and a slew of celebration.

TDL: TDS is getting its second coaster, a single loop coaster from an unknown manufacturer, with tons of effects. What's most impressive is the price tag: 68 millions.

DLP: Wishes, a very scaled down version of the WDW show. Due to the neighbors of the park, they can't have large fireworks. *** Edited 8/13/2004 4:19:12 AM UTC by Absimilliard***

Don't foget BGW is building a huge indoor attraction, probably a coaster. Cedar Point will definitely add a new ride(s) to the park....possibly the rumored Giant Frisbee. Knotts will have their new inverted. Curious to see if Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun do anything.

Yep, 2005 will be one to remember after a dud in 2004.

There are a few more things for Disney World. They are considering Expedition: Everest as a part of the celebration because it goes way into 2006, and it'll be open by then. There is also the Lucky AA that will appear in the AK, and, a new stage show at the MK called "Cinderellabration".

At Disneyland, there will also be a brand new fireworks spectacular, and a daytime parade. And, expect some more surprises on July 17th ;)

And last but not least, there's a whole new resort! Hong Kong Disneyland will open for the celebration as well.

*Edit - Oh yea! TDL will be opening their version of the popular ride Tower of Terror in 2006 as well* *** Edited 8/13/2004 4:33:00 AM UTC by LightningRacer821***

Wait, the 2004 coasters haven't even finished opening yet....ROFL! :)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

Curious to see if Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun do anything.

I think I read that VF is getting a topspin. Probably not true, but it would be nice.
