The only ones I remember for certain in steel are my top three, RoS @ NE, then PRev and SFA's RoS just behind, although the margin wasn't that small, LOL.
In wood I definitely remember Tremors being followed by TX Giant...
When I get home from LoCo weekend, I have my list of top ten in each category somewhere, although the ORDER is long since forgotten.
I would be remiss if I failed to mention that Schlitterbahn DOMINATED my waterpark voting...although next year I should get to Noah's Ark for some *comparison shopping*...;)
Notable rides (of the ones I've ridden, obviously) that did NOT make my list include Timbers, BoulderDash, and MForce....apologies to those who feel they were "deserving"...
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
Why can't someone build a waterpark in FL that uses *spring-fed* tubes and slides the way Schlitterbahn does, we certainly HAVE the Springs to do it...
gator, HATES chlorine

Nitro is better than all other steel coasters. Right, Lord Gonchar?
Don't make me put my ass kicking boots on ;)
I'm sure NyQuil will still be there as a drug of choice. At least the B&M loving public has the sense to put Apollo above it. IMO, TTD has no business on that list. Xcelerator was better (and still has no business on the list) and Storm Runner was better still and is deserving of a spot. MF and PR need to switch spots from the 2003 list and having just made my first visit to SFDL, I have to say they got the wrong S:ROS clone on the list - SFA's should be there. Magnum still makes the list with the 'nostalgia' vote. It still delivers but times have changed and it should round out the top ten, not lead it. Not sure about the European coasters - I'll leave that to the well traveled. S:ROS at SFNE should still sit at the top of that list as king of the hill.
As for the woodies - let's just say my tastes in wood 'differ' from the status quo...
"Amusement Today, a monthly trade newspaper of the amusement industry, ranked Thunderhead sixth in this year's Golden Tickets Awards, an annual voting by both magazine readers and amusement park patrons. According to Amusement Today officials, sixth place is "unbelievable" for a first-year ride"
Either way, I don't mean to start any conspiracy theories but it seems to be more of a political process than an actual popular one. Traditional parks (including Cedar Fair, Paramount and Six Flags) are the ones more likely to pay for ads on the publication (see for yourself) and that's part of the draw.
I mean, has anyone seen the stage shows in Disney's parks on both coasts? Do you really think that Six Flags Fiesta puts up a better show than Animal Kingdom's Festival of the Lion King-Tarzan-Pocahontas-okay, the bird show is lame?
I'm not saying that these parks aren't earning their stripes. Holiday World IS the friendliest park. PKI DOES have the best kid area (unless you consider something like Legoland as a kid area). But many of the runner ups usually wouldn't make the cut -- IMHO.

I think Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon would topple Wildwater Kingdom before Boomerang Beach does.
I have been to Blizzard Beach but not the others. Water Country USA is better than BB if you ask me.
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, Texas 56%
Splashin’ Safari Santa Claus, Ind. 18%
Blizzard Beach Orlando, Fla. 6%
Typhoon Lagoon Orlando, Fla. 4%
Boomerang Bay (PKI) Kings Mills, Ohio 3%
