S&S
Stan Checketts, has announced his intentions about creating a park in Logan, Utah. It shall be in the same manner as Mack created for Europa Park to show of the companies lastest prototypes and developments. The company is not intending to make a full fledged amusement park, but more like (and this is their quote) "a fun center with dozens of pay per rides." Park guest will pay for each attraction instead of one at the gate price. The park is also to features go karts, mini golf courses, and slides.
Presently, the community has not given final approval yet, but is serious about this project. However, if certain restrictions are not released then the project may be abandoned.
Some of the Premier attractions will be the latest S&S combo tower and an Air Thrust coaster. If all goes right, the construction shall start Spring 2003 with an anticipated opening in 2004.
'Universal Mediterránea(Port Adventura)
The season has just ended and reports from the park show that they had an attendance over 3.5 million! The attendance was rather impressive but not enough to add a new thrill ride But Universal does plan to add major investments into the park for 2003 including many spectacular shows Vertex and Dingo shall keep you posted on any other updates regarding next season...
Dingo:Who me...WHY ME?!!
And to end this on a good note...

Regarding Rye Playland...
I wonder what happened to the Crazy Mouse that was supposed to arrive for 2002? I see that a Zamperla mouse is "taking its place" for 2003, most likely identical to the Doo Wopper in Wildwood.
Nothing against Zamperla's coaster, but I'm disappointed... I love Crazy Mice and it would have been great to have one within an hour of where I live (Steel Pier in AC is 2 1/2 hours away). It would have brought me back to Playland a few times next season!

I'd like to know who announced this ride? I don't see anything on the SFA website about it. And just because a park bought something doesn't mean it will be installed there, remember the top spin that sat next to Jokers Jinx, for a considerable amount of time before being shipped to SFDL?
Please remember that, just because a manufacturer sells something, it doesn't always mean it's for the park they say.
Furthermore: there's an unwritten rule that says that everything is a rumor till the "PARK" announces it as fact.
I don't see anything on the SFA website about it..
That's why I wanted to see the article. I don't know a lot about PR work at parks, but it seems very odd the article would have confirmed our new ride before the parks PR makes there annoucement. Not being able to read the article for myself I wonder if it's sources are rumors or speculation on these attractions, or does it claim the information was relased by Six Flags Corporate?

Why would such a reputable company as AB give false information like that? I'm pretty confident that the information they've recieved is valid & that they wouldn't be publishing it if it wern't true.
SFA & SFAW will announce their new water rides soon enough & that will occur once the parks are good & ready to do so,as for that top spin we were supposed to get I never saw any parts for it anywhere in the park & I wonder why they supposedly shipped it off to SFDL but then again it's SF wer'e talking about & they are known to make changes at the last minute.

I am in no way doubting the validity of the rides purchase. However to post that the ride has been "announced" is an out and out LIE! SFA has announced nothing, and until they do, this ride remains Un-announced, and therefore a Rumor.

the top spin sat behind Jokers Jinx during the period when the Octopus was being installed. it sat out of sight between the train tracks and the brake run for several weeks if not a month or two. the top spin being in the park is a fact.
Amusement Business is the leading publication for the amusement industry and to say that they would send outright lies is obserb.
Companies send there lastest information to AB's Industry Forecast every year. That's how they recieve the information. If you want to see it ahead of time, then you have to cough up the doe.
Waiting for Six Flags to update their website is a slow and "unreliable" process.
