15$ Parking is worth it!

I have been hearing alot of people fussing about the 15$ parking at Six flags parks. Think about it like this.

15$ is only 5$ more than you payed last year. That

5$ helps Six Flags get out of debt slowly but it does help! and would you rather pay that 5$ or watch more parks close down/rides get sold like Astroworld? Even tho Six Flags is over priced their parking I am glad to pay 15$ to help the company as much as possable!

You obviously feel quite strongly about the 15 dollar parking issue, so I've got an idea for you: Why don't you just give 6 Flags every extra dine you've got. If you want to help them that bad, put your money where your mouth is.

Another idea: Why don't you pay for everyone elses 5 bucks? You said: it's 'only' five more than last year.

Yeah, let's give them extra money, Shapiro wants another 30%.

I complained about the $15 parking fees at both Great Adventure and SFNE last weekend. I paid. I had fun. I didn't ***** too much. Why complain? It isn't going to change anything. ;)

It was worth my first El Toro and Supes rides. ;)

Parking in New York City on a Saturday for a three hour show was more than double that.

To Quote P18: "Because They Can."

Here's To Shorter Lines & Longer Trip Reports!

I do feel that Six Flags parking pricing is out of line except at SFMM, SFGAdv and SFKK. Its just another part of that "get 'em for everything you can" attitude. The sad part is that so many continue to put up with it. Maybe it is just that in many regions, if you want a lot of really big coasters, Six Flags is your only choice. In Ohio, where CP is present, SFO (SFWOF) sank like a lead balloon. (even though this was for reasons that have nothing to do with parking).

Why do I make the exceptions? SFMM sits on that million-dollar-an-acre land and much of that is used for parking. SFGadv is close to New York City and prices in the region run high including parking. The above parks are also the biggest Six Flags parks. SFKK is unigue in that Six Flags doesn't own the parking so it is only $5.

Well, taking into consideration that I will not be renewing my Season Pass next year. The whole pay for parking thing at Six Flags is a rather moot point now.

But is it really close enough to justify the cost? They are only doing it because they can.

Nothing new at Six Flags next season = Saving a boat load of money by not having to go there.

The common cure for always volunteering to give Six Flags all of your money is Knoebels, or Beech Bend, or Holiday World, or Camden Park. Parks that you will actually have fun at as soon as you walk through the gate, because you still have the shirt on your back. *** Edited 10/14/2006 2:50:46 PM UTC by Coasterphan***

There are so many things higher on the "should be justified" scale then "why does SF parking cost so much??" They only charge parking in the first place "because they can"...

Many smaller parks that are a LOT more profitable (percentage wise) get away with free parking.

There's no need to strip the consumer of every penny they've got even before they've walked through those gates.

15 bucks for parking, 7 bucks for a SLICE of pizza, 5 bucks for a single game...

...oh, but hey... it's only 5 dollars more for parking, only 3 dollars more per slice, and only 2 dollars more per game... that's chump change!!

Sure, I'd be more than willing to hand over my paycheck and newborn child for some fun under the sun. How about my right arm & leg?

Let the poor horse die.
Only one park I visited this year charged for parking at all and that was for Fireworks on the fourth of July.

SORRY, Your company line don't fly with me

Chuck

If you want to pay more for parking, then winningfreak you can pay the extra $5 for me.
Where is there any proof that money will go to help the bottom line or park operations??
It is more likely to go to Shpario in increased pay and stock options than to help out the company. Now if it would go to the rank and file to make there jobs better, that would be a different story.
