SFMM's X Shown on Travel Channel Show

The TV Show, Thrill Rides: Las Vegas Style, that was on at 9:00PM EST on Travel Channel talked about the new X ride. it showed the very short prototype ride in the Arrow Warehouse and the production of some of the track. The way the cars rotate will definitely be a one of a kind experience. i wish i could go to cali to ride this thing next summer.

Yeah I noticed that too-did you notice how the people talking had little models of arrow's rides behind them, like the Mad Mouse and the Pipeline?
BTW, The 4D prototype loked really cool!

They showed people riding a prototype of X. They just went on a small section of track and spun around. The spins actually looked very jerky and akward. I hope X is not like that.
I thought the it looked real smooth!

Did anyone notice the track shown on the special was purple and yellow, not red like X at SFMM?
And as far as the video of people riding the prototype, it is available on arrows web site, and it looked smooth to us!

"They" showed computer animation for the ride. It looks awesome with the seats flipping.

The protoype looked neat, I can't wait for X! The Arrowbatic animation was neat too.
actually angnjc....X's track is purple(or pink whatever it is) and yellow, not red.
Those were happy guinea pigs, though, weren't they. The action did look very smooth. The best part, IMO was seeing Arrowbatic and the model Arrowbatic the guy had:).
Yes, those people looked real happy, and it did look smooth to me.

IOA was the #1 park, CP was second.
IOA needs to build more rides. The place is packed and it will only get worse now that everyone is seeing those shows.

Next year is gonna be da bomb. CP will build something, IOA should build something or I'll scream, we'll have X up by then, and PKI will have short lines with everyone trying to ride TR.

Um i just don't like how they showed the same clips of footage over and over again. It got really annoying like the shot of the people riding the 4D model and those shots of Manhattan Express, it got really old. They missed a lot of attractions such as Star Trek: The Experience which is fantastic.

Ah well, at least you all got to see how much the general manager of the "big bubble" really knows...SQWAT! He's a nice person to work for but 2gs on Canyon Blaster, yea right. Its 3.5! And the ride is not 140ft. tall. The ride is 96ft above the dome's floor which itself is 20 ft above ground. Therefore the ride is 116ft tall. HMMMMMMM.....

"ok everyone go ahead and pull down on your shoulder restraint so you feel nice and stuck!"
Is it me, or did the people coming off of Manhatten Express seem to be putting on a show for the camera. You could tell that they weren't that impressed with it.

As for X, I think Arrow has got a winner. All of their previous designs seem dull and not really thought out (I mean, come on, the hills on Desperado are triangular).

I think the action of the flip on the 4D proto looked not quite 100% smooth, but I also noticed that the shoulder harnesses were nowhere near your head. I think the roughness will not be a problem on X.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Did you guys notice the green train harnesses. Is X going to have difference colored harrnesses for every train or is this forshadowing for another 4D.
I noticed that. now i'm even more excited, it looks real smooth
I believe that the green and purple harnesses were the ones shown at IAAPA. Check them out at the special feature on this site.

Most likely that is the colors that will be used on one of the next ones. It's no secret, Arrow has already announced that they have already sold 2 more of them.

We stand corrected! The seeing eye dogs will arrive tomorrow.

Why would they have train's harnesses built so early for a coaster next year FloridaCoasterRider?

Possibly they were the prototype colors and someone liked them and they just added them to the new car. But who knows they were probably just to show off.
