This is the only sensible solution for a coaster from the Golden Age. It’s a modern treatment that also stays true to the original.
I’ve never been to Compounce but I was reading the other day that a 1911 trolley ride that took visitors along the shore line is being removed. Im not sure why but there was much crying over it.

Charm, loss of charm.

Compounce being an old trolley park, had an old trolley that would have been like what was used for people to come and go from the park. It was historical, and what would have existed at the park many moons ago.

As someone who rode that trolley it was very cool, and it is a loss. No different than the loss of any historic ride at an old park.

And to be clear, I’m not sure why it was removed. Not why there was crying over the loss of a vintage attraction or the increased lack of charm. Because I totally get that.

I’m completely at fault having done a poor job of proofreading for content and syntax.

This new wood track system seems to be good. If it is a success it might prevent older wood coasters getting steel tracks.

It’s already been proven but it’s not stopping parks from going with steel. The same park is retracking parts of Boulder Dash with GCI steel.

I thought the trolley ride was one of the more interesting and unique features of Compounce, based on my sole visit in 2017. When I think back to that trip, it's one of the moments that stands out in my mind. I'm greatly sorry to hear it's being removed.

Awesome about the tracking, too bad about those trains it got, as cute as they are. Those old curved speed bumps really slammed ya back in the day, a true delight. They grew out of voque way too soon...
