Parking Prices Getting Out Of Hand

Cedar Point had trams for quit a while, and as I recall there was a change in the motor vehicle code in Ohio that made it mandatory that the tram drivers were required to have a class B with passenger endorsement license, even when operating on private property. The following season no more parking lot trams.

I don't know about the timing but the dedicated lanes for the CP parking lot trams didn't help the parking capacity which was at a pressure point in the mid to late 90s. We were parking general parking in the campground back in those days because the front lot was filling many weekends.

The lack of trams at Epcot is a real big source of butthurt on Disney related social media.

Which is ironic considering it's the easiest park to get in and out of.

I didn't even realize Epcot had trams until people started complaining about them going away.

Six Flags America keeps bumping up their parking prices year after year. Yes, this park is located outside of DC, however it sits on a 524 acre lot where parking is not at a premium. I believe it was $25 in 2020, last year they bumped it to $30, this year $35. It's a good thing "Free Parking" is included with season passes, because I'm not sure a single visit for one person is worth $35, forget about parking.

$35 to park at a park without its headliner and an entire section of the park walled off.

Premium indeed.
